A further tribute to John has been noted by various people, which we reproduce here. Unfortunately, I cannot find a link to it online so apologies for that. It was printed in the Hinckley Times on January 12th.

Tributes flooding in after death of popular villager

Tribute has been paid to John Ryde, a member of Newbold Verdon Parish council and village personality, who died on December 29th after a long fight against cancer.
Mr. Ryde, who was 73, gained a mayor's award for outstanding services in the borough in 2003 and 5 years later was the British National Party (BNP) East Midlands Activist of the Year.
He stood as a candidate for the BNP in district, county and Parliamentary elections.
An active member of the parish council, he took the lead on the crime and safety forum.
Clerk to the council Rick Bell said: "He was also an active supporter and contributor to the Neighbourhood Watch scheme. He gave very generously in many ways both materially and personally. He will however be best remembered for his involvement with the jazz club which he ran at Newbold Verdon Working Mens' Club for many years. Many famous bands attended and fans came from all over the country.
"In the civic year 1995-96, the then mayor asked John if he would be willing to run an event in aid of his charity. John kindly agreed and approximately £1,000 was raised on the night. John did this for several years for consecutive mayors and over the years raised a considerable amount of money."
A well-known wrestler on the circuit in his younger days, Mr. Ryde's working life was in sales and marketing.
On the BNP website, East Midlands regional organiser Geoff Dickens led tributes from the party to which almost 30 comments were added.
Mr. Dickens wrote: "I first met John around 1974 [when] we were both active nationalists. John had resigned from the Conservative party after the disgusting treatment of Enoch Powell by Heath. He had been a Monday Club member.
"I will always remember John's sense of humour. No matter how bad things were he always had a quip at hand to lighten the situation," added Mr. Dickens.
Alwyn Deacon, West Midlands organiser, wrote: "He was one of the party's best and will be missed but never forgotten."
Mr. Ryde leaves a son and daughter, their spouses and five grandchildren.
The funeral service was held on Monday at Nuneaton. There were family flowers only, donations in lieu being for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Leicester - the way we were

This is an interesting article I picked up from a comment on a blog. It appeared in The Independant and was written in 1993; the author compares news from the Leicester Mercury that year with a 1953 addition of the same month:

ON 8 AUGUST, a jewellers' in High Cross Street, Leicester, was raided and a pad of seven watches, valued at pounds 25, was taken. The thieves had smashed the window by driving a motorcycle at it. In another incident, Jack Beresford, the Olympic oarsman, had his car stolen from outside the Constitutional Club: its starting handle was later found inside a shop window from which televisions and a radio had been removed.

The first incident reflected recent raids in London, where the 'now-familiar technique' of attaching a plank to the front of a car and driving it at a shop window is commonplace. There's nothing new about ram-raiding. But, leafing through the Leicester Mercury of the first week of August 1953, there is little else that is remotely familiar.

Semper eadem - 'always the same' - is the Leicester motto. It could hardly be less appropriate. On the face of it, no city in Britain has undergone more change. Though the population has remained stable at between 270,000 and 290,000, since 1951 its nature has changed entirely. In that year, 1.9 per cent of the city's population was born outside the UK. In 1961, that figure had risen to 2.9 per cent. In the 1991 census only 71 per cent described themselves as 'white' - 22 per cent as Asian.

In 1972, when Idi Amin expelled 27,000 British-passport- holding Asian Indians, Leicester - Britain's 10th largest city, with a population in decline - became the new home for up to half, despite determined opposition - advertisements were placed in Ugandan newspapers advising them to stay away.

The city's daily, the Leicester Mercury, was not slow to catch the local mood, and ran articles with headlines like 'Leicester is full up', and 'Madness to accept Commonwealth immigrants'. But Leicester did accept them, and many more. By 1989, it was estimated that the city had absorbed 40,000 Hindus, 20,000 Sikhs and 15,000 Muslims. The Leicester Mercury has launched an Asian edition, with news from the sub-continent as well as matters of Asian interest in the UK.

Yet, even without this enormous change in the cultural complexion of the population, the tenor of life seems to have changed out of all recognition.

The Mercury of August 1953 gives an impression of a placid, humdrum community characterised chiefly by its lack of what we would call news. It reflects a community that still tugs its forelock. A front-page picture story is headlined 'Lady Nutting found time to hold visitor's baby', above a respectful piece telling how Sir Harold and Lady Nutting graciously welcomed 1,200 sightseers to 'their stately home', Quenby Hall, in need of money for restoration.

Parish pump matters are a local newspaper's business, and the Mercury of 1953 had a good idea of its priorities. A story on Leicester dog show, and its near- record entry, sits beside a bald account of power cuts in East German factories and the wrangling over exchanges of prisoners-of-war in Korea.

It is the week of the August bank holiday, and a good proportion of the Leicester population has gone to the East Coast for a week by the sea. Reporters were despatched to Skegness ('The bathing pool at Skegness attracted quite a crowd on Sunday . . .') and the Mercury was on sale at the seaside. So we learn of 12-year-old Raymond Withers, of South Wigston, who missed his footing stepping on to the platform from a train on his return from Mablethorpe, and hit his head. Leicester Royal Infirmary states his condition to be 'quite fair'.

The Mercury still dispatches reporters to East Coast resorts, but the holiday jollities reported last week were different. Last Saturday was the Caribbean Carnival - police 'anticipated 30,000 revellers at the event'. At the beginning of the week was the Hindu and Sikh Raksha Bandan, or Rakhi, festival, a celebration of kinship.

Holiday entertainment has changed too. For those left in the city in August 1953 there were three theatres, 12 dance halls and 28 cinemas. There are three cinemas now: judging by the 'It's Leisure' page, most Mercury readers are going to car-boot sales for their fun.

Crime, the staple diet of a local paper, has also changed. Page three of the Mercury of 3 August 1993 has stories of plans to put security guards in a community centre to combat drug-dealing; a teenager who had a glass smashed in his face at a wedding reception; a rape case; the pensioner tied up, threatened and robbed of pounds 1,200; a man in court on a murder charge; police comment on the rise in vandalism - 11,500 incidents in 1991 to 12,200 last year - on one estate alone.

A whole week of the 1953 Mercury has news of two or three burglaries ('The Carlton Kinema was broken into over the weekend, but nothing was stolen'), a suicide attempt ('Man admits trying to frighten wife'), two arrests after a pub fight. A Loughborough 20-year-old is charged with stealing pounds 1 from his father.

That week's running story concerns 36 phials of 'deadly poisonous' Novocaine, the dentists' anaesthetic, put through several Leicester letter-boxes. By the end of the week the police discover that children found them on a waste tip. The August 1993 Mercury had a spate of robberies on city taxi drivers to carry it through the week.

There's no shortage of crime stories today. The number of reported crimes in the city in 1953 was 2,449, including one murder, three rapes and 375 burglaries. In 1963, it was 6,654. Last year, Leicestershire Police's central sub-division dealt with 21,143 reported crimes: 1,696 of them burglary, five murders, seven attempted murders and 38 rapes. There were 338 racial attacks.

Unemployment in the Leicester travel-to-work area was 9 per cent in June (the national figure was 10.4 per cent), and one significant similarity in the newspapers is the impressive number of job advertisements - two tight columns in tiny print in the 1953 broadsheet, more than a page in the modern tabloid. And an extraordinary number are still in traditional Leicester industries - hosiery and textiles.

Textiles and clothing are Leicester's largest industry in the manufacturing sector, providing nearly 15 per cent of all jobs. And it is commonly acknowledged that, without the influx from Asia, that industry would be dead. Nearly 1,000 enterprises are listed in the council's Directory of Asian and Afro-Caribbean businesses: the largest section covers clothing manufacture and retail.

Pravin Lukka arrived in Leicester in 1971, initially to work in textiles. He is now a manager with the social services. He explains the success of the Asian businesses in simple terms: 'The Asian entrepreneurs began because the textile industry couldn't face the international competition in the Seventies. Sure, some of them were running sweatshops and paying very low wages, but it put the industry back on its feet.'

The process of change is now slowing, Mr Lukka believes. Primary immigration has halted and the violent racism of the Seventies is a distant memory. 'I am very optimistic about the future. And I wouldn't swap Leicester for anywhere.'

His words echo those of Leicester holidaymakers in 1953, returning from a France stricken by train strikes. 'Thank goodness,' one says. 'I'm sick to death of these unstable countries. I do not think I shall leave home again.' Semper eadem.

We are now almost 18 years on from when that article appeared. Far from primary immigration halting, we have seen further influxes of moslems, Somalians, Vietnamese boat-people, and Eastern Europeans, so Mr. Lukka was wrong there.

R.I.P David North

We are sad to also have to report the death of David North of Frisby who died after a short stay in hospital on Christmas Eve. David was a BNP member, who some time ago was banned from carrying out his Church duties because of his beliefs. One of his interests was classic motor bikes and their preservation.

We are sad to report that John Ryde lost his battle against cancer on Thursday night. A true patriot who will be greatly missed.

John lived in Newbold Verdon for nearly fifty years and served as a parish councillor twice; it was an office he was carrying out diligently until his illness became acute. In 2003, he was presented with the Mayor's Award for Outstanding Services in the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth.

He was a member of the BNP for the past eleven years and stood as a candidate four times. He was East Midlands Regional Press Officer and also worked tirelessly designing and printing leaflets for the East Mids and other branches around the country. His dedication and cheerful demeanor will never be forgotten.
John was presented with the British National Party, East Midlands Activist of the Year Award in 2008.

John previously worked in sales and marketing and was a well-known wrestler on the circuit in his younger days. His interests included gardening, motoring, real ale, traditional jazz, and the countryside. He leaves two children and five grandchildren.

Geoff Dickens, East Midlands RO, paid tribute to John, saying:

"I first met John around 1974, we were both active Nationalists; John had resigned from the Conservative party after the disgusting treatment of Enoch Powell by Heath. John had been a Monday Club member

"John was an active member of the Leicester NF until 1982, after which he supported the fledgling British National Party; after his family had grown up and with retirment approaching he became a super activist, Leics. and East Mids Press Officer, Training Officer, Leaflet Designer and printer, printing over 400k leaflets, never taking any expenses.

"John was a Parish Councillor, and has stood for the BNP at District, County and Parliamentary levels.

"I will always remember John`s sense of humour; no matter how bad things were he always had a quip at hand to lighten the situation."

One rule for us, one rule for them

Rhea Page, while walking down High St., Leicester with her partner, was set upon and kicked unconscious by a girl gang of drunken Somali Muslims, screaming:
‘kill the white slag’:
one would have thought this would be labelled a racist incident. Ms Page
stated:
‘I honestly think they attacked me just because I was white. I can’t think of any other reason.’

But no, in the eyes of the perverse British judiciary this is not a racial
incident, of course. Even worse: Judge Robert Brown allowed them to walk free
because he accepted that as Muslims they were unused to drinking. Judge Brown
also thought the women may have felt they were the victims of unreasonable
force from Ms Page’s partner Lewis Moore, 23, who tried to defend her from the
attack.

In the wake of the Stephen Lawrence murder, the Macpherson Report
defined a racial incident very clearly:
"A racist incident is any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim
or any other person.”
Is it not a little odd that such a straightforward statement, eagerly embraced by the British police, is open to question only when the victim is white? Ms. Page clearly believes this was a racial incident, so why don’t the police or the judiciary?

And this is not a solitary case. Only last week 19-year-old Danny O’Shea had his throat slashed by a gang of black youths outside his mother’s front door in Newham, east London. The police are not treating this as racist murder. Why not?

In 2009, Christopher Folkes died from severe head injuries after he
was brutally attacked by three "Asian” males in Queen’s Park, Blackburn. This
was not treated as a racist murder. Why not?

In 2004 Christopher Yates was beaten to death by a gang of Muslim males in
Barking, east London. One of the attackers, Sajid Zulfiqar, boasted:
"We have killed the white man. That will teach an Englishman to interfere in Paki business.”
The Crown Prosecution Service makes it perfectly clear that this was a racially aggravated murder, but again the racial element was overlooked. Why?

Perhaps the most savage murder was that of Mary-Ann Leneghan in 2005. Tortured, gang raped and stabbed to death by a gang made up of Muslims and blacks, this yet again was not a racist incident. The eagerness with which the British police pounce upon white racial transgressors is matched only by their reluctance to label non-white perpetrators as racist.

There are indications that we are to become a minority in our own land within the next fifty years; will we also become an ethnic minority whilst being subjected to grossly unequal state-sponsored racial prejudice? Readers may draw their own conclusions.

Minutes were read and agreed

Matters arising
RO Geoff Dickens told us that Melton is no longer a separate group, James North and Keith Addison handed over in pristine order. Geof then gave us an over-view of the local groups, their financial health, and that there's a new Organiser in Erewash. Unfortunately subscription for membership of the BNP is going up, some of us renewed early to beat the price rise! When Geoff first joined in 1983 it was £4.

-Steve Denham gave us an update on Charnwood; they've put out an enormous amount of leaflets, including 5 thousand on the Euro referendum, 2 thousand 'Britain has lost it's Dignity', 3 thousand 'We want our country back' and the election leaflets for Cathy Duffy with 1000 V of Freedoms. Simon Orderly took out 1000 'We want our Country Back' leaflets on his own. The Conservatives had put on their leaflet that they had beautified the area, then on Remembrance Day the Charnwood lads took loads of muck and rubbish out of the brook. He said it was the way forward-- to be seen doing jobs to help the community got a good response from people. He finished by saying how good it was to see John Ryde with us at the meeting.

The main speaker was the Reverend West, who spoke on Islam. He told us his views on the growing numbers of Mohammedans in the West, and how it will affect Christianity, Judaism and democracy, in fact how it will affect freedom of religious expression. He had printed out his talk for anyone who wanted to take a copy home.
He then took questions from the floor.

The Persecution of an Englishwoman

It seems that the world has gone ballistic over a video filmed on a London tram. If there is anyone left who has not seen it here is a link.

It is a shocking outburst; the woman concerned has been condemned as much for her profane turns of phrase in front of her child as for her outspoken views on immigration Yes, immigration; she adds Polish immigrants to her complaint so is not racist. But the truly shocking thing is that she was hunted down immediately, arrested, and incarcerated in prison. Her children have been taken away from her. Not allowed bail, she is being held in custody, supposedly for her own protection. Protection from whom, you might ask; well this specimen of "British manhood" for a start:

The woman concerned is Miss Emma West, a Londoner. At the moment, we know very little about her, or why her sudden outburst. The British are traditionally polite and reserved, or are we? I think people I know would call me quiet and reserved, certainly not the type to come out with the kind of language Emma used; and yet, wound up once at work by a situation that and escalated became intolerable, I lost control and publicly shouted at length a very offensive rant. Profanities galore. Afterwards of course, I was mortified and my colleagues could not believe I, of all people, had said those things. So, people are now asking what set Emma off, as the video makes it clear that something was already happening before filming started.

Of course, it might be that Emma comes from a section of the community to whom this language is commonplace; I hope I don't do her a disservice by mentioning 'Billingsgate fishwives', a common accusation for any woman shouting the odds in a rough manner. You could include 'troopers wives' in that too. For it is sure that there have always been women who have spoken their mind, albeit in terms that offend the gently reared. These women, and their menfolk too, come from a world that people would rather forget, but they are the salt of the earth, and do the jobs that their decriers would not stoop to.

Whatever the reasons for her outburst though, Emma West has been dragged before the majesty of the law for criticising immigration, and for mentioning black people. never mind the myriad of death, rape and violent threats hurled in naked hatred in comments and videos at her. They appear to be acceptable, as the police, authorities and You Tube moderators have not seen fit to stop them, or chase and arrest the authors of these threats. Why is that, I wonder?

The following poem was written by May Hill of Lincolnshire in 1941. It refers to a local incident, but encompasses every families fear in any war. I chose this poem for Remembrance Day because the reporting of military deaths in conflicts around the world are reported almost as an afterthought on the News. casualties may be small in the great scheme of things, but to their family each loss is all the world.

"Muslims Against Crusades" is banned

The hate-group who burned poppies last year and disrupted the Remembrance Day silence, calling itself Muslims Against Crusades, has at last been banned. Theresa May, the Home Secretary, announced that it is outlawed from midnight tonight. Membership or support of this group is now a criminal offence.

Their demonstration this year has been cancelled, due, according to it's instigator Anjem Choudary, to the planned Protect The Poppy counter demonstration called for by the British National Party's Chairman, Nick Griffin.

Well done to the BNP and all allied groups and supporters who have put pressure on the Government which has resulted in this outcome.
I'm waiting for an update as I know many people have already left home to join the Poppy defence overnight sit-in. it is likely that those arriving will stay in London in order to pay their respects to the Fallen in any case.

Syston Ridgeway By-Election results

The results of the Syston Ridgeway (Charnwood) by- election held onThursday, 3rd. November are as follows:-

Tories; 981 votes (Tory hold)
Labour: 480 votes
British National Party: 279 votes (Cathy Duffy )
Liberal Democrats: 132

The BNP percentage was 14.9.
The turnout was 22%

Well done to Cathy, her agent Steve Denham, and all those who helped in the Campaign.

New EU Referendum petition

Proposed. That in the event that a Parliamentary debate and vote (24 October 2011) does not result in a referendum of the British people on membership of the EU that that Parliament be required to debate and vote WITHOUT party whips of any kind, from any of the three main parties. Panorama Allegations and Answers

In the wake of the much-hyped Panorama documentary aired on Monday, we publish some of the allegations originally made against Nick Griffin and the BNP. As I was at an inaugural meeting of a new BNP Branch (which went splendidly, with interested members and members of the public overflowing the room to hear the speeches), I did not see this programme but am reading that it was something of a damp squib, and the BBC thought better than to include many of the Internet gossip based allegations.

Nick Griffin says: "Dark forces are at work trying to kill our party using every weapon at their disposal. We are fighting back, and here we publish questions put by the smearmongers of Panorama together with our answers. The propagandists at Panorama and the renegades, malcontents and agents working with them hope to demoralise and dishearten our supporters. They will fail. Read the truth before you hear the lies...
PLEASE NOTE: Panorama have sent us ten pages of questions! In this mail out we have room for three pages. The FULL document is now published on our website as promised, and also emailed to everyone with an email address. Those who do not have access to the internet and wish sight of the full document please call us on 0844 809 4581."

BNP Chairman Nick Griffin answers Panorama disinformation:

"First let me state that the British National Party does not accept that the BBC is intending to produce a balanced documentary. Even your choice of subject reveals your real motivation. We expect, given your long track record, a biased hatchet-job based on the testimony of political opponents, paid agents and those with personal grudges against me. That is why you have failed to secure a face-to-face interview. Panorama runs to the same business model as the News of the World (NOTW), using dishonest sensationalism to attract an audience and viewing the frequent pay-outs for slander as just another business cost. The only difference is that at least the NOTW used its own money, whereas you people force licence-payers to pick up your bills. You have zero credibility in our eyes.
We regard you as part of the opposition to our party. You form part of a campaign aimed at destablising the Nationalist movement at a time of great opportunity. Any 'Nationalist' co-operating with you is a traitor and a turncoat. Despite the established bias of your programme and the BBC, I shall reply to the lies and disinformation you seek to peddle with the truth and accurate information. I will publish this response on the British National Party website, as we want our members and the public to see it in full, without your editing tricks and distortions."

ALLEGATION: That the BNP fraudulently uses European money to fund national party work, in breach of European Union funding regulations. ANSWER: The British National Party does not use European Union (EU) money in this way. We are not in breach of any EU funding regulations. The allegations have been made by individuals or factions with grudges or personal financial vested interests in unseating me. The body charged with responsibility to monitor the financial compliance of the complex European regulations is OLAF. We are working well with them and fully co-operating. We are systematically answering unfounded allegations with fact and evidence. We await their deliberations and considered advice at the end of this process and expect constructive suggestions about procedural matters. It would be inappropriate and misleading for the BBC to make any statements pre-judging issues on the basis of information supplied by those with axes to grind. You should await the findings of the regulatory body tasked with such matters.

ALLEGATION: Officials employed by you at your European HQ in Wigton, Cumbria and paid for by European funds, spent the vast majority of their time/working day on national party matters. ANSWER: The allegation is untrue, and you give us no source or evidence to support it. All EU Local Assistants keep detailed work logs showing work done during their contractual hours. These logs are inspected internally and can be made available on request from any appropriate authority. Some staff have separate Party contracts for some working hours. Additionally, staff may volunteer hours for the Party outside of their contracted hours. Any staff failing to keep logs or not keeping to their contracts would be investigated under my disciplinary procedures. OLAF are the appropriate body to consider such matters, as stated above, and we are fully co-operating with them.

ALLEGATION: That the BNP submitted fraudulent election returns in respect of the 2010 General Election, in breach of electoral law. ANSWER: Our Treasurer, working closely with the Electoral Commission and the external Auditor, prepared and submitted election returns on time, using his best endeavours and in good faith on the basis of the information available to him, the records compiled by his predecessor. Subsequently, malicious allegations were made to the Electoral Commission after publication. The Commission considered these allegations and found no breach of electoral law in relation to the 2010 General Election campaign submission.

ALLEGATION: You signed the Barking constituency expenditure returns on the (sic) June 3rd 2010, which included unpaid bills which had been represented as paid. ANSWER: The declaration signed by me was in good faith on the basis of returns prepared and presented to me by my Election Agent, Richard Barnbrook. He prepared the Return in consultation with the then Treasurer of the Party, David Hannam.

ALLEGATION: Your BNP treasurer Clive Jefferson, instructed a junior member of staff Marion Thomas to falsify expenditure records for the 2010 general election which were then submitted to the Electoral Commission, in breach of election law. ANSWER: Our Treasurer, working closely with the Electoral Commission and the external Auditor, prepared and submitted election returns on time, using his best endeavours and in good faith on the basis of the information available to him. Subsequent allegations were filed with the Electoral Commission after publication. The Commission considered these allegations and found no breach of electoral law in relation to the 2010 General Election campaign submission. I understand that our Party Treasurer strenuously denies any suggestion from Marion Thomas to do anything other than represent the truth. I also dispute your description of Marion Thomas as a “junior employee” as she had supervisory responsibilities. Further, Marion Thomas, as well as being the sister-in-law of Jim Dowson, our then fundraiser, was centrally involved in the upkeep of Party invoices and payments. Marion Thomas made no mention of this allegation until she was made redundant as a consequence of the closure of the Belfast Office and after the termination of the contract with Jim Dowson. She is currently pursuing an Employment Tribunal claim against the Party but never mentioned any such allegation in the ET1 form she filed. If you intend to use any of Ms Thomas’s allegations, it is incumbent on you to point out to your viewers the fact that she now works for the Britain First fund-raising operation run by her brother-in-law, Jim Dowson, so that they can consider the possibility that she has a personal interest in trying to do the British National Party down.

ALLEGATION: That the official BNP accounts are regularly submitted late and compiled in a flawed, chaotic and unreliable manner. ANSWER: As with any rapidly expanding organisation, whether a business or a political party, we have encountered difficulties in structural adjustments. It is true that, like many other political parties, we have not always met deadlines set down by the Electoral Commission, but at each stage of our development we have sought to follow the advice of both the independent Auditor and Electoral Commission to improve our systems. The review of the Treasury Department carried out by the Financial Scrutiny Committee of the Party and incoming Treasurer have already identified previous weaknesses in our systems and moved swiftly to correct them through fundamental improvements to the way we operate. In summary, the complete separation of Regional and Central Party accounts – the removal of the Treasurer from Party bank accounts, and the employment of a retired chartered accountant whose job is the upkeep and maintenance of our financial records – solves many of the previous problems we identified. It is important to state here that the current delay in submissions to the Commission of the 2010 accounts stems from the unexpected serious illness of a contracted accountant, matters outside Party control which have been fully explained to the Commission. A breach of electoral law would only occur if a Treasurer submits late submissions "without reasonable excuse". We have provided the Electoral Commission with the full details and circumstances of the delay, and in the light of this we consider no breach of electoral law has occurred.

ALLEGATION: For two consecutive years your own auditor has not been able to describe the BNP annual accounts as, “true and fair, and in respect of the accounts for 2009, he said they cannot be classed as “true and fair” in the usual definition of that term.” This represents a possible breach of section 41 of the PPERA. ANSWER: This indicates that our Auditor is genuinely independent. Again I remind you that the Electoral Commission rules on these matters, not Panorama. The 2009 accounts have been submitted, accepted and the matter closed. I refer you back to my previous answer concerning improvements to our systems.

ALLEGATION: Last August the Advisory Council of the party was informed in a “Treasury report” that it had “current liabilities” of £575, 330.90. What is your position on the “current liabilities” of the BNP? ANSWER: Our current liabilities are in some cases disputed or the subject of possible counter claims. In other cases, payment agreements have been reached. I am confident that the Party is able to meet all our much-reduced genuine liabilities. Reports are given to the appropriate authorities and to Party officials. The Treasurer informs me that a detailed financial report stating exact liabilities and accounts for the first three quarters of 2011 will be presented to British National Party members at our next Annual Conference in October. Members will be given the opportunity to examine the books and ask questions of our Treasury Department. The good news in our constantly improving finical situation will be presented to our members at conference and not to a Panorama witch hunt.
ALLEGATION: The BNP, including current and former officers of the party are contesting or can anticipate being involved in a number of legal cases, exposing the party and/or the officials, to liabilities of approximately £300,000. ANSWER: Your figure is pure speculation. Your figure is based on the highly unlikely scenario that we would lose not only each of the cases currently against us but also potential cases that may not even be brought, and that we would be unable to take effective counter measures, to argue costs down as per normal procedure, or to win a forthcoming claim for professional negligence. Given our previous record in winning cases, not least against the Equality Commission, such blanket failure is highly unlikely. Time will tell, but we can rely on Panorama not to inform the public when such cases go in our favour.

ALLEGATION: You have authorised the bugging of people in your party. ANSWER: Panorama used covert recording equipment in its failed attempt to have me jailed for raising the scandal of Muslim gang grooming of young girls. Panorama staff are the buggers, not us.

If such a complaint was made, it seems bizarre that no one was ever approached about it. It really beggars belief that it is mentioned only now in the context of your smear programme.

ALLEGATION: Libelous leaflets were distributed in the home town of your former web master Simon Bennett, after he left the BNP. ANSWER: I have read reports of this. Perhaps he should take legal action against those responsible. Many people have mentioned the names of Jim Dowson and Paul Golding in connection with these alleged events, but I have no way of knowing whether this is true. You could perhaps ask them, as they are collaborating with you in your hatchet job. The Party was not involved.

ALLEGATION: That under your leadership the party has suffered a collapse in support over the last eighteen months. ANSWER: Under my leadership I have taken the British National Party from an unelectable fringe group with a few hundred members to (in your own words) a “major political party” and a household name which has taken two EU parliamentary seats. We currently have 10,000 members. We have been under sustained attack since winning our two European seats. With my team, I am confident, however, that the ConDem regime will grow ever more discredited as their austerity measures begin to bite. I believe that events will prove that the British National Party has been right all along on issue after issue. The issues that led people to vote for us and join us are not going away, and neither are we.
Clive Jefferson answers Panorama smears

ALLEGATION: During a trip to Belfast on or about Friday 26th November 2010 to recover BNP property from the former BNP offices in Dundonald, Ms Marion Thomas was held against her will by you and two other senior BNP officials pending the delivery of the equipment owned by the BNP. ANSWER: Marion Thomas is the sister-in-law of Jim Dowson. The allegations she and he have made are ridiculous and beggar belief. The answer provided by Nick Griffin is accurate and reflects my personal view also. I would like to add, however, that I was in the company of two of my colleagues throughout negotiations concerning the return of property belonging to the British National Party. They share my disgust and disappointment that a disgruntled former employee has resorted to such obvious and easily disproved lies. Mr Griffin was at no point involved in events that day. I was very pleased that property belonging to our party was eventually returned.

ALLEGATION: Mr Jim Dowson says that at a meeting with you in 2010 he was asked by you to help obtain forged documents and refused. Specifically to persuade Romac Press to provide forged invoices in order to place party debts personally upon GLA member Richard Barnbrook and bankrupt him. ANSWER: Mr Dowson has no credibility with members of the British National Party. He is widely despised and regarded as a snake-oil salesman who is motivated only by money. Mr Dowson wishes to harm the British National Party in the hope that his new money making scam 'Britain First' will reap the benefit. I hope that you have not paid him a fee, Dowson, his sister-in-law, Paul Golding and the rest of the chancres you have as “whiteness” in this witch hunt are only interested in one thing: making money and they are using Panorama as a means to that end. I deny any wrongdoing in relation to Richard Barnbrook. Please do not contact me or any of my staff again in relation to this non-story.

Report from the BNP Leicestershire Joint Meeting, 3rd September 2011

-Meeting opened and chaired by James North

-Minutes of the last meeting were read and agreed

-East Midlands Regional Organiser Geoff Dickens spoke first about the leadership election, in which he was the returning officer, and then about the concerted attempt to destroy us as a party. Where we should be making progress because of what's going on in the country, the negativity is stopping us. 'Keep recruiting and remain active' he said. The BNP is the only hope we have for a better future for this country. He told us that North West Leicestershire is no longer a separate group but is re-joining the much bigger Leicestershire branch, Charnwood is doing well, and Melton is functioning. He also told us that in Lincolnshire they have been selling entry tickets to a forthcoming meeting in which the party leader is to speak and have now reached the venue capacity.

-Parish Councillor for Leicester Forest East Paul Preston told us about his amusing conversation with the local vicar who asked him what he felt about the wonderful diversity in Leicester! She talked about loyalty to one's family and friends. Paul told us his loyalty is to this party.

-Ian Mellor spoke for the last time as North West Leicestershire group organiser because that area is coming back within the main Leicestershire branch. The area will now have access to a much bigger source of funds with which to finance future campaigns. He told us that Ivan Hammond and Graham Partner, who were standing as local election candidates, had been told by voters that they would vote for them if they stood as independents not BNP, but when they did their percentage of the vote halved. Ian also lost his seat quite unexpectedly.

-Paul Hilliard, sub Regional Organiser for Derbyshire agreed with Geoff that there was a big problem with negative posts and comments on the internet, so that what's taken years to build is being attacked and people are getting discouraged. If we do nothing for 4 years until the next leadership election we'll have no party left, so keep it positive he said; new activists are joining! He also explained about his recent visit by the police at 5.30 in the morning over a dispute between some of his neighbours, his only involvement was to try and calm things down, and about the police interest in the BNP stall where they were getting signatures on petitions in Derbyshire. His informal report was quite an eye opener; and he finished by telling of the next two speakers at their planned meetings in Derbyshire, it sounded as if they would be really interesting speakers to listen to.

Double Standards, Bias, Hypocrisy

Now comes the aftermath of the riots; Cameron, Clegg, and even Mililband have deigned to cut short their sunbathing in order to act big and declaim what should be done now. A pity that none of them thought to listen to wiser heads over many years who have warned that this would happen, that their multicultural dream was a thing of rags and patches.

But they couldn't lose face, none of them; the politicians, the liberal types, the media. So, we are faced with 'what to do now'.

Well, the first clarion call was 'police brutality'. I think the police have got questions to answer here, but we should remember that the black rioters' hero in this case was a known dangerous criminal. Quickly following this came 'the cuts are to blame'. Ignoring the fact that the cuts haven't really bitten yet, and we're all affected by them. But why then have we not seen rioting and blatant looting in every area of the land? Then we got the old chestnut 'these are deprived areas, they need our help'. So deprived that a teacher, and a social worker both joined in, so deprived that they could afford Blackberrys. So deprived that they thought it 'fun' to burn down peoples' businesses and homes, strip people naked in daylight,murder a man for trying to put their fire out, mow down young men defending their neighbourhood, rob an injured lad after appearing to help him.

This then, and much more, happened in what used to be decent places, and there are many decent people still living there. These we applaud wholeheartedly, all of them.

But there was something insidious from the start, and it has gathered momentum.
It was glaringly obvious from the pictures, the film footage, and the eyewitness accounts, that the vast majority of the rioters and looters were black youths. There is no doubt about that. A trickle of their white ebonised hangers-on and lefty anarchists were indeed spotted if you looked hard and didn't blink.

So why did the BBC and ITV home in on the odd white reprobate, interviewing those no longer recognisably English but gabbling in a strange foreign patois? I am sickened at how the media are spinning this.

The BBC; the Telegraph article with some journalistic harridan going into raptures over the immigrant vigilantes while sneering that the native Britons never left their homes to defend themselves. Oh, but we know that they did!

Sikhs were defending their temple with swords. Great, well done!
Moslems were defending their neighbourhood - wonderful, well done!
Turkish grocers "this is how we do it in Turkey and we're doing it here" - admiration overflow, well done!

But...

...the native English are spotted with brooms, cleaning up and comforting victims - Blank 'em out quick, zoom in on the odd black face, interview them.

The white residents come out to defend their neighbourhoods and businesses -racists!
Millwall supporters joining with rival clubs to patrol the streets - racists!
The police let the looters run riot - but kettle the white youths who want to help stop the rioting.

Manchester magistrates' court, and here again, the media home in on the one or two white youngsters charged. It is perverse.

Even the Archbishop of York joins the clamour to squash the native Britons' contribution to the fight-back and defence - that the police signally and deliberately failed to do - by praising Turkish grocers vigilanteism, but loudly deploring the same thing by the EDL.
All whites who defended our streets were labelled 'far-right groups', and 'extremists'.

This aspect of biased reporting has to stop now. The hurt, the unfairness, the double standards have been noted throughout the Internet, and it has become the biggest topic among people I have spoken to 'in real life' No doubt we shall be called racists for having noticed the hypocrisy, the anomaly. But it is actually those that jumped straight into decrying the English, the native British; those who try to excuse the majority of the criminals by making it appear that they are majority white - these are the true racists.

And, just like Katrina when they tried the same evil propaganda, it won't wash. They have been well and truly rumbled.

Nick Griffin Urges Our People To Stick Together

"Whether they need evacuating, supplies bringing in, or just want someone to go and sit with them over a cuppa, Steve and the others will be there to help.

"We have to look for ways to bring good out of the appalling mess that the collapse of the old parties’ disastrous multi-cult ‘experiment’ has created. Obviously, the help it’s already giving us in moving the party forward is one thing, but giving us the chance to show that we are essentially one big family is another.

London Burning After 3 Days Of Race Riots

The weekends devastating riots in Tottenham has shocked many, the crimes are just the latest in a series of tragic events that would never have happened if the left had not decided to subject the people of this country to ‘multiculturalism’.

Saturday night’s violence saw 26 police officers injured – with eight admitted to hospital – when 300 people attacked police in north London on Saturday night and into the early hours of Sunday.

Shops were looted, police cars and a double- decker bus set alight, and petrol bombs thrown at officers.

Although the news channels are hard at work portraying the perpetrators of these crimes as the victims, wheeling out black ‘community representatives’ who blame the ‘racist’ white police for black violence, the truth is that this is just the latest battle in the immigrant-on-indigenous war forced upon this country by those who aid and abet mass immigration.

The area that witnessed last night’s horrific scenes was very close to that of one of Britain’s most notorious riots, just over 25 years ago. In 1985, PC Keith Blakelock was hacked to death by men with knives and machetes on a rundown housing estate in Tottenham when around 500 mainly black youths rampaged through the streets, attacking police, looting and setting fires.

Both Tottenham riots are just two in a series of such events in Britain over the last 30 years.

Thirty years of hate: Britain's worst race riots
1981: More than 300 people are injured, including 279 police officers, as black men hurl petrol bombs in Brixton, south London. The two-day clash causes £6.5m damage. Later in the year there is another riot in Brixton, as well as riots in Manchester, Southall and Toxteth, Liverpool, where a man is killed.

1985: Trouble flares up again in Handsworth, Birmingham. Black rioting leaves two people dead and dozens of buildings gutted by firebombs. More than 50 cars are set alight and two shops gutted.

1985: Broadwater Farm. White PC Keith Blakelock is hacked to death in a racist murder by men with knives and machetes.

1995: A policeman is almost kicked to death after being pulled off his motorcycle during a second immigrant riot in Brixton.

1995: Three nights of fighting causes more than £1m worth of damage after gangs of Asian youths run wild in Manningham, Bradford.

1998: A group of 100 youths throw bottles, cans and stones at police as the five suspects of the murder of teenager Stephen Lawrence arrive at the inquiry.

2001: Bradford, Oldham, Leeds, Burnley. Muslim Asian youths fight on the streets of northern towns, hurling petrol bombs and stones. Eighty police officers are injured in Bradford alone.

2005: ‘Black British’ and ‘black Asians’ riot for two consecutive nights, with both groups committing a string of violent crimes against each other, including two murders.

2011: The race war has entered its most dangerous phase yet with gangs attacking hospitals and looting in broad daylight in scenes that look more like a US disaster zone every day.

Police attacked as rioting spreads

As fire hoses continue pumping water onto smouldering buildings in Tottenham, emergency services have been dealing with disturbances across London as fresh bouts of rioting and looting have broken out across the capital.
Police officers were being deployed to respond to "copycat criminal activity" across the capital.

Disturbances erupted on Sunday in several boroughs in North, South and East London, with reports of trouble in Brixton, Enfield, Walthamstow and Islington.

Three officers were taken to hospital after being hit by a fast-moving vehicle at 12.45 a.m. on Monday, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said. The officers had been in the process of making arrests in Chingford Mount, Waltham Forest, after a shop was looted by youths.

Meanwhile, a fight broke out when rival gangs attended King's College Hospital after two victims of minor stabbings were admitted, police said.

The hospital has brought in extra security for the rest of the night and officers remain on scene dealing with the initial stabbings, the spokesman added.

Six fire engines were dispatched to deal with a blaze at a Foot Locker shop in Brixton, south London, and witnesses saw riot police clash with looters at a Currys store nearby.

"A couple of hundred youths were rioting and looting. Riot police went in to get them out and there was a big fight in the street. Youths were throwing rocks and bottles and there was a bin on fire. They used a fire extinguisher to push the police back so they could get back into Currys and continue taking things out."

Elsewhere, more than 30 youths, many in masks, vandalised and looted shops in Walthamstow Central, including BHS. "Officers attended the area, and the situation is currently under control. Groups of youths are continuing to target shops in Waltham Forest, and officers are on scene," the spokesman said.

Police Commander Christine Jones said: "Officers responding to sporadic disorder in a number of boroughs made more than 100 arrests throughout last night and early this morning. This is in addition to the 61 arrests made on Saturday night and Sunday morning."

She went on: "Officers are shocked at the outrageous level of violence directed against them. At least nine officers were injured overnight in addition to the 26 injured on Saturday night. We will not tolerate this disgraceful violence. The investigation continues to bring these criminals to justice."

On the front line
London British National Party Organiser Steve Squire, who stood for the party in an Enfield by-election the Thursday before last, has been in Enfield, talking to police and concerned local residents.

He said: “Around 100 enrichers from outside of Enfield descended on our town to take advantage of the easygoing, laidback attitude and give it the wakeup call it deserves a week after the Bush Hill Park by-election, but the police did an excellent job and ran them off.”

London British National Party organiser Steve Squire at the scene in Enfield said: “You get what you vote for! It’s time the people of London woke up to the reality of living in this tinderbox. We have a serious situation building here and our only hope is to stop this madness politically…. And time is fast running out as scenes this week have shown us”

Only the British National Party is there to stand up for the rights of the British people.

Not only do we stand against the unlimited uncontrolled mass immigration that has led to these race riots in the first place, we would also take the PC handcuffs of the police and let them take the action needed to restore order to our streets.

Leadership Election: East Midlands Hustings Report

On the table EMRO/Returning Officer, Geoff Dickens, BNP Leader Mr.Nick Griffin MEP, Mr. Andrew Brons MEP and Paul Hilliard of Derbyshire, Supervisor of meeting.

Mr. Dickens announced the terms of the meeting, giving ample time for both applicants to express their views, then departed, leaving the hall in the capable hands of Mr. Hilliard.

A coin was spun, giving Mr. Brons the first chance to speak, which he then did for 25 mins, according to the Chairman`s Rules. Mr.Brons told us he was reasonably happy with the results of the General Election (2010) and subsequent local elections (2011). He thought we came out better than did the Greens and UKIP (candidates we don`t often fight against in Leics.) He stressed that, due to the make-up of the present (Cons./Lib)govt., there was always the threat of a sudden General Election, if the Coalition suddenly fell apart. Our party must try to become a LARGE party, similar to the so-called `3 major parties`, and that old members, recently having left the party, must be won back, along with new ones as well. Modernisation and more democracy in the party was also necessary, as well as Freedom of Speech, said Andrew. No pressure must be applied for factional purposes through the newspaper "Freedom`; this to be used/distributed absolutely non-factionally. Party resources belong TO THE PARTY and NOT to the elected Chairman. Mr. Brons speech delivered, sadly from a seated position on the stage, was well received.

Party Leader Nick Griffin, out front on the floor of the hall, spoke of the success of his 12 years of leadership.`BNP issues now in the centre of British politics -our ideas, not theirs! A large step forward from 1999, he told us. He agreed it was now time for a new leader, but that `it would take him 4 years to train one, He admitted the party`s debts, saying however that they`d dropped from nearly £3/4 million to ONLY £52,000. He thanked Geoff Dickens for all that he`s done over the years (which goes without saying) and that, sadly, membership had fallen by about 30%, but was now rising again. He ended with much ado about Andrew`s recently-printed criticisms - much of which Andrew denied his association with.

In a `Reply` situation, both threw a lot of `flak` at each other, mostly about what their respective employed staffs had done, or said. A bit boring, this! Under question from the Members, Andrew admitted he didn`t intend to be Leader (if elected) for more than 4 years. Both applicants agreed that new members should NOT be allowed to vote for 24 months. This was a real error, we were told, committed by the N.Front some years ago.

Nick told the Members present that it was necessary to get involved on local public affairs; politics, petitions, needs of pensioners,etc -to `put ourselves about` and get known to the public. He also made us aware of the fact that the E.U. was now accepting BNP advice and imput on the matter of racial attacks on other racial groups in the E.U.,(incl. Britons)and including racist language, a fact that had, until recently, eluded these gentlemen. Both agreed that all must come together after the election result had been declared, and to `buck in` behind the new Leader.

Meeting ended at 20:15.
A final collection, to pay for the hall, raised the sum of £217.98. Any suplus to be paid into the Peacock Club (East Midlands Regional Fund).

East Midlands RO to be Returning Officer

Leicestershire Community Voice is pleased to see that our East Midlands RO, Geoff Dickens, will be the Returning Officer in the forthcoming election of British National Party Chairman.

At the GMM held last week, Geoff took over the chairmanship of the meeting at the last minute and did, in the words of an article on the main BNP site, 'a tremendous job'. He was afterwards thanked for his handling of the job and impartiality by other members, including a well-respected founder member.

Geoff, along with other East Midland members, has called for unity among members, reminding us that we are all Nationalists. We may differ in our choice for Chairman, but this should not fatally divide us; divisions have happened in the past, it is nothing new, and we have always regrouped. We must remember our wider goals.

We can be assured that the Count will be conducted with the utmost fairness and neutrality under Geoff's direction. Accordingly, LCV and it's commenters will also adhere to that neutrality. We invite all members and supporters to carry on sending comments, but we ask you please to respect the rules and not post comments which could breach that neutrality.

"Please read as a matter of urgency. This company wants to introduce water meters for social and private sector rented housing, the aim is not water conservation but screwing the working class on a basic human right.
This policy is being tested in Leicester and then rolled out in the Severn Trent region.
This policy is attacking our housing stock and the low paid.
The typical relet figure for any housing is high last year we had 1872, new lettings and transfer....all would get water meters
Typical cost per month is around £73 for a family of five.
They will also introduce sliding scales of charges, Wessex Water have higher charges in the summer. BBC East Midlands will be in Leicester tomorrow June 29th

Leicester Mercury article: Water meters to be put in 10,000 homes

Severn Trent plans to install 10,000 compulsory water meters in the homes of people who move house in Leicestershire over the next four years.
The water firm says it needs to reduce demand in the face of a growing population and drier weather and launched its Meters 4 Movers scheme yesterday.

It will affect properties across Leicester and the county, in the LE1 to LE19 and LE65 to LE67 postcode areas.

Under the scheme, anyone who moves into a private, council-owned or housing association home will have a meter installed to record the amount of water being used, and bills can be worked out.

Homes without a water meter have bills with a fixed charge each year based on the property's rateable value.

Some estate agents have expressed concerns about the scheme. Jan Lancaster, manager of Berkley estate agents of Hinckley Road, said: "It's not going to be welcome news for people who share houses, whether it is students or families. It's going to affect people in big properties who are going to be charged for what they use."

James Court, director of Readings Property Group, in Granby Street, Leicester, said:
"There has always been a resistance to water meters by owners with families.
It's likely to have an impact on buyers with large families as the costs can be very high. If the scheme was being carried out over a smaller area, it could have an effect on the number of people wanting to move to that area."

A spokesman for Severn Trent Water said: "With a meter, you only pay for what you use so it could mean smaller bills in the long run. It's the fairest way to pay.
If you're in a larger family and water consumption is high, you can find out how much you're using and hopefully reduce the amount."

About 30 per cent of UK households have a fixed water meter.

According to water regulator Ofwat, homes with one or two occupants with a Severn Trent meter save an average of 31 per cent on their bill, but homes with more than two occupants pay an average of 13 per cent more.

A Satire Laced With Truth

As the Internet blogs and forums boil with acrimony, lies, accusations and some grains of truth over the goings-on in the BNP, I thought you might all like to sit back and read this amusing piece. While political, and yes, the first part at least could have happened in Leicester thus justifying it's inclusion here, I'd like everyone to smile, but also to remember why we joined the BNP, and why now, rather than throw personal insults at all and sundry in the Party and distort facts, we can recover that sense of unity, our shared British sense of humour, and our determination that, even though we are going through a rough patch at the moment, we are Nationalists. We have the same goals and would be silly to let ourselves be fatally divided.

This article is by Albion, and I send him my appreciation for his allowing me to reproduce it here.

Praying for a Saif Return

It was at the age of thirty five Destinee Gubbins from the Cockcroft estate met the tall, curly haired stranger, a dusky gentleman from Coconut Island, a palm fringed atoll just south of Trinidad and Tobago. This fatal chance happening occurred after the inaugural meeting of the Cockcroft Estate Friends of Multi-Culturism Society (CEFOMS) held at the Stephen Lawrence Cockcroft Estate Community Cohesion Centre (SLCECCC) where she reluctantly admitted she foolishly and impetuously first surrendered her reputation and sullied her unblemished record of celibacy under the cover of darkness behind the ‘Black Swan’ to the said ebon stranger in exchange for a few brief moments of carnal pleasure only to find a couple of months later to her horror she was carrying something other than a worrying bank card debt.

My mother always used to say ‘Stress Kills’ and so it was with my father who smoked roll-your-owns from his early teens until his untimely death, hastened I might add by my mother feeding him a diet exceedingly rich in animal fats. Incidentally he died prematurely under stress at age 97. ….well actually 97 1/2. Talking of stress Destinee’s mother Valerie-Ann had stressed continually and forcefully to her daughter if you cannot see the whites of their eyes turn on the lights.

Unfortunately for Destinee she did not heed her mother’s parental warning. There were no lights alit behind the ‘Black Swan’ that evening.

This was the first page of a radio script I submitted to the BBC radio drama department for evaluation. Miss Begum Khalida Zaman replied my script would be discussed at the next radio drama meeting.

…that was over two years ago. I pondered whether or not it was the case that the main character of my script Destinee was neither an illegal Iraqi immigrant a feminist nor a Lesbian. Who knows! Be that as it may I am kept busy at present writing 6 historical novels. My most recent script a drama written for TV tells the story of a BBC executive, Benjamin Coeur de Lion Courtney a past student of the London School of Economics. In my story he was a great friend of Saif al-Islam, a son of Gaddifi.

You may remember it was while at the London School of Economics Saif was maliciously and scurrilously accused of plagiarism after submitting his thesis entitled “The Mathematical calculations of String theory and its algebraic equations with the Principles of Dark Matter and Multiple universes”. This magnificent piece of scientific research was submitted immediately after Saif had completed an accredited course of Period Furniture Restoration in Whitechapel.

The story goes it was at the London School of Economics they first met while Saif was studying for a Masters degree in ‘Democracy for Dummies’ and young Benjamin was studying the basic principles of Marxism. A small stipend received as a result of a fellowship at Oxford College had enabled Benjamin to rent cheap rooms above the Student Union branch of ‘The Friends of Venezuela’ in Duke Street. As a matter of interest it was Benjamin’s 20 page booklet ‘Trotting with Trotsky” that sold over 11 copies on its first day of publication that launched his career with the BBC and as they say, the rest is history.

Benjamin had a meteoric rise throughout the departments of the National Broadcaster quickly attaining his executive position and remained a close chum of Saif’s until his recent sudden disappearance. Previously questions regarding Benjamin’s gender preferences surfaced with libellous personal accusations on Face-book. This rumour was possibly triggered when he was sighted buying a red dress a hat and matching red shoes from a small exclusive boutique in Knightsbridge but was later confirmed he was paying for and collecting said items for his sister and the insinuation that he bought them for himself was quashed.

Nevertheless the troublesome rumours still persisted. Saif meanwhile was successful in his application for political asylum and disappeared from the scene.

Benjamin’s disappearance took the Police and Lady Policeman's important investigative time away from concentrating on critical social problems like hate crimes, suspicion of hate crimes, crimes that may or may not be construed as hate crimes and crimes that could possibly be perceived as crimes of hate but not necessarily so, but more importantly race crimes, suspicion of race crimes, crimes that can be perceived as race crimes and thought crimes that threatened social cohesiveness, frivolous accusations of a thought crime, and….…er, you get the general idea.

There is a mysterious conclusion to this story. A British Sunday Ragloid published an exclusive story that both of them had been sighted at the Simôn Bolivar Areopuerto Internacional in Caracas, Venezuela disembarking from a Condor Airlines Boeing 737-200.

This was a deliberately fabricated story for the consumption of their Sunday readers and a sensationalist story one might expect from the British gutter press.

As an epilogue the only other passengers to arrive that day, who disembarked at the far end of the airport from a Gulfstream G550 executive jet was a man of a Middle Eastern appearance and a lady wearing a bright red dress, hat and matching red shoes.

That is a short précis of my latest novel which I have been instructed to send to the head of BBC’s TV English drama department for the attention of a Ms. Madushami Samarasinghe.

Minutes of Leicestershire BNP Meeting, held on Saturday 18th June

The meeting was opened and chaired by the Charnwood Organiser Steve Denham.
There were 40 people in attendance.

Minutes of the last meeting were read and agreed.

Geoff Dickens (East Mids. RO) in his regional report said that the region was now virtually self supporting. During the recent council elections all leaflets in the East Midlands had been designed locally and that the Derby developed leaflet “We Want Our Country Back” had now been adapted nationally.

As a member of the national finance scrutiny committee Geoff reported that the income of the party now exceeded its out outgoings and that party membership at 17th June 2011 was 9628 (East Mids. membership is now over 1100 and growing).

There is to be a relaunch of the Peacock Club.

In Leicestershire the emphasis was once again on branch and group building with recruiting and leafleting.

Steve Denham (Charnwood Organiser) congratulated Cllr. Cathy Duffy on her re-election to Charnwood Borough Council in spite of the vicious hate campaign by the left. Steve thanked Jim Taylor and Mick Dyer for standing in Anstey and Syston in the elections which has brought us new members.

Steve also asked for volunteers and sponsors for a “Round Rutland Water” fundraising event to take place on August 8th.

Cllr. James North (Melton Organiser) said that Melton had become a hub for support network in the East Midlands. James was heavily involved in building and publicising the growing Radio RWB which is daily updating with the stories that the national media ignore. Melton too was the centre during the recent elections for the design of glossy leaflets both national and local.

Cllr. John Ryde expressed his thanks to James for the considerable work he had done during the election.

Cllr. Peter Jarvis spoke after a brief interval. He outlined the problems that our country faces and the British National Party’s policies to deal with them. Peter said that that there was only room for one nationalist party in Britain and that was the BNP. He said that all true nationalists should put aside differences and unite to fight not only the mainstream parties, but also the fake nationalist parties like UKIP.

The raffle raised £42 and the collection was £186.76

Leicestershire MP arrested

Northwest Leicestershire MP Andrew Bridgen has been released on bail following his arrest in Central London in the early hours of Thursday morning (9 June).

Scotland Yard said in a statement that a 46 year old man had been arrested 'on suspicion of sexual assault against a 29 year old woman at an address in SW1'.

It has been claimed that the alleged incident involved a former political aide and followed a marathon drinking session at a Westminster pub. Bridgen, the woman and another man went to his Westminster flat for further drinks after leaving the pub. Mr Bridgen has been bailed until mid July.

In recent weeks the 'modern' Conservative Party's attitude towards women has been highlighted for all to see.

It started right at the top. In the House of Commons David Cameron, in his usual patronising way, told Labour MP Angela Eagle to 'calm down dear'.

We then had Justice Secretary Kenneth Clarke suggesting in a BBC radio interview that some rapes were less serious than others. Would he still feel that way if it was his wife or daughter that had been attacked?

Then East Midlands MEP Roger Helmer, writing on his blog, stated that Ken Clarke was 'basically right' and that in some cases 'the victim surely shares a part of the responsibility'.

Attitudes like this are the start of a very slippery slope and one that brings us right back to Andrew Bridgen.

Why would any woman vote for a party with such archaic attitudes?

Reply regarding Hope not Hate leaflet

In the run-up to the May elections, residents of East Goscote Ward received a distasteful leaflet impugning the BNP candidate, Cathy Duffy by deceitful insinuation. Cathy duly complained about this, and received the following reply:-

Complaint from Cllr Catherine Duffy
RE the Hope not Hate campaign leaflet

I understand that the complaint was made by Cllr Duffy regarding a leaflet and a letter which was sent to a Ms Pizer but not Cllr Duffy.

Having examined the items, my advice is that no illegal practices /offences or breach of rules have occurred as a result of the publication and circulation of the Hope not Hate leaflet. That advice is base on the following research:

Representation of the Peoples Act 1983

Sections 106 and 110 of the RPA 1983 are the appropriate sections of the act dealing with circumstances where election material contains false statements about a candidate and the prescribe rules relating to the publication of election material designed to promote candidates.
s106 – creates an offence if a person makes untrue statements about the conduct or character of a candidate for office in the elections. The Hope not Hate leaflet is not published by or on behalf of a political party standing in opposition to a candidate but by a campaign/lobby group with no political allegiance. It does not mention Cllr Duffy by name nor does it make any statements which could be said to be about her character or conduct specifically. In my view is not about Cllr Duffy but what Hope not Hate considers the BNP stands for generally. In terms of s106 therefore since it does not mention her by name nor say anything that could be said to be a statement about her character or conduct no offence has been committed under Section 106. This section refers to false statements concerning a candidate’s character or conduct and seek to protect candidates from being the subject of such statements. It does not confer any such protection on a party of which a candidate may be a member. My view is that s106 does not apply to the Hope not Hate leaflet.

In terms of s110 this focuses on publicity material designed to promote a candidate with a view to procuring their election. It sets out the prescribed information that all such material must contain. The Hope not Hate leaflet does not seek to promote any candidate at all and therefore in my view does not appear to be covered by s110.

I cannot see that there is any breach of any rules or any offence committed by those who have circulated this Hope not Hate leaflet.

Cllr. Duffy's complaint was made on behalf of ladies in her ward, as they were particularly targeted; some informed Cllr. Duffy as the targetting made them feel vulnerable and upset, while others contacted Hope not Hate to express their disgust.

The result of this particular leafletting did not have the desired effect, and must have left a sour taste in the mouths of Hate not Hope. Due to this hate mail, and because the residents know and admire her, Cllr. Duffy received an increased vote and was returned to the seat. Never underestimate the sympathy of the sisterhood!

Coming soon to a city near you

A leading member of a group of Islamic extremists based in North London is to be moved to the Midlands by order of the High Court.

The man, who can only be referred to as 'CD', has dual British and Nigerian nationality and has made several attempts to obtain firearms for a terrorist attack, according to the security services.

The High Court judge stated that there were concerns over "his ability to evade the attentions of those who have a duty to prevent him putting his plans into effect".

He was reported as having attended a training camp in Cumbria in 2004 organised by Mohammed Hamid, who was convicted of training terrorists for the unsuccessful 21 July 2005 London bombing.

He had also undertaken extremist training in Syria in late 2005 and returned to the UK in April 2009.

Mr Justice Simon backed the Home Office case that CD's removal to an undisclosed address "in a Midland city" was necessary to protect the public.

The judge said: "CD has a background and training which would lead to a justifiably held fear that he would engage in terrorist-related activity."

And now he could be living near you!

The Midlands city has not been named but obvious candidates are Birmingham, Nottingham and Leicester.

The judge also stated that CD's wife and two children are entitled to obtain a travel allowance to visit him. All paid for by you, the British taxpayer.

Instead of moving him to the Midlands we say deport him to Nigeria, then the British public would be properly protected.

General Teaching Council: Freedom of Information letter

Mr. Smith, a Leicester resident recently sent an enquiry to the GTC, referring to a Freedom of Information request. His letter reads:-

"Dear Sir,

I have just been made aware of a Freedom of Information request where a member of the teaching profession has been actively been pursued by yourselves to be banned from teaching because of his legitimate political beliefs.

Apparently, your organisation spent around £72,000 attempting to get Mr Adam Walker out of the teaching profession because he is a member of the British National Party.

Please can you tell me why you feel that you can justify spending this amount of money on a frivolous persecution when we are all expected to accept cuts in far more needy areas of public requirements."

He has received a reply, which reads:-

" Dear Mr Smith,

Thank you for your email dated 12 April.

In response we hope that you will find it helpful if we set out the Government’s intentions for addressing extremism where it occurs amongst the teaching profession, although we should make clear that the Government has not taken steps to introduce a ban on teachers who are members of any group or organisation.

The Government’s position is clear, that behaviour that is of an extremist tenor is not compatible with being a teacher. This position is not particular to any group or organisation. What we are doing is working to make sure that the necessary and appropriate powers are in place to ensure that head teachers and governing bodies are able to deal appropriately with any individuals who promote inappropriate views, behaviour or discrimination within our schools.

It is not our intention to introduce centrally managed or prescriptive arrangements in support of this. Rather, we expect that behaviour that is inappropriate will be addressed within new arrangements to regulate those teachers whose behaviour falls significantly below acceptable professional standards. Nor is it our intention to provide guidelines or lists of organisations.

As a first step, we have asked the independent Review of Teachers Standards, which the Secretary of State set up in March this year, to consider how new standards might guard against those who seek to undermine UK values. We will consider next steps later in the year once we have considered the conclusions of the Review.

We do hope this clarifies the Government's intentions in this area.

This reply seems to try to back up any persecution that the
establishment seems fit to persue.
It talks of extremism - but does not say what what this is.
It talks of inappropriate views - but does not say what these are.
Doesnt want to set out guidelines etc - all so they can avoid specific
persecution (eg BNP) comebacks.
And the best/worst - '.. guard against those who seek to undermine UK
values.' Are they for real??

St. George, the patron saint of England, Aragon and Portugal. According to the legend given by Metaphrastes the Byzantine hagiologist, and substantially repeated in the Roman Acta sanctorum and in the Spanish breviary, he was born in Cappadocia of noble Christian parents, from whom he received a careful religious training. Other accounts place his birth at Lydda, but preserve his Cappadocian parentage. Having embraced the profession of a soldier, he rapidly rose under Diocletian to high military rank. In Persian Armenia he organized and energized the Christian community at Urmi (Urumiah), and even visited Britain on an imperial expedition. When Diocletian had begun to manifest a pronounced hostility towards Christianity, George sought a personal interview with him, in which he made deliberate profession of his faith, and, earnestly remonstrating against the persecution which had begun, resigned his commission. He was immediately laid under arrest, and after various tortures, finally put to death at Nicomedia (his body being afterwards taken to Lydda) on the 23rd of April 303. His festival is observed on that anniversary by the entire Roman Catholic Church as a semi-duplex, and by the Spanish Catholics as a duplex of the first class with an octave. The day is also celebrated as a principal feast in the Orthodox Eastern Church.

The historical basis of the tradition is particularly unsound, there being two claimants to the name and honor. Eusebius writes: "Immediately on the promulgation of the edict (of Diocletian) a certain man of no mean origin, but highly esteemed for his temporal dignities, as soon as the decree was published against the churches in Nicomedia, stimulated by a divine zeal and excited by an ardent faith, took it as it was openly placed and posted up for public inspection, and tore it to shreds as a most profane and wicked act. This, too, was done when the two Caesars were in the city, the first of whom was the eldest and chief of all and the other held fourth grade of the imperial dignity after him. But this man, as the first that was distinguished there in this manner, after enduring what was likely to follow an act so daring, preserved his mind, calm and serene, until the moment when his spirit fled." Rivalling this anonymous martyr, who is often supposed to have been St. George, is an earlier martyr briefly mentioned in the Chronicon Pascale: "In the year 225 of the Ascension of our Lord a persecution of the Christians took place, and many suffered martyrdom, among whom also the Holy George was martyred."

Two Syrian church inscriptions bearing the name, one at Ezr'a and the other at Shaka, found by Burckhardt and Porter, and discussed by J. Hogg in the Transactions of the Royal Literary Society, may with some probability be assigned to the middle of the 4th century. John Calvin impunged the saint's existence altogether, and Edward Reynolds (1599-1676), Bishop of Norwich, like Edward Gibbon a century later, made him one with George of Laodicea, called "the Cappadocian", the Arian bishop of Alexandria.

Modern criticism, while rejecting this identification, is not unwilling to accept the main fact that an officer named Georgios, of high rank in the army, suffered martyrdom probably under Diocletian. In the canon of Pope Gelasius (494) George is mentioned in a list of those "whose names are justly reverenced among men, but whose acts are known only to God", a statement which implies that legends had already grown up around his name. The caution of Gelasius was not long preserved; Gregory of Tours, for example, asserts that the saint's relics actually existed in the French village of Le Maine, where many miracles were wrought by means fo them; and Bede, while still explaining that the Gesta Georgii are reckoned apocryphal, commits himself to the statement that the martyr was beheaded under Dacian, king of Persia, whose wife Alexander, however, adhered to the Christian faith. The great fame of George, who is reverenced alike by Eastern and Western Christendom and by Mahommedans, is due to many causes. He was martyred on the eve of the triumph of Christianity, his shrine was reared near the scene of a great Greek legend (Perseus and Andromeda), and his relics were removed from Lydda, where many pilgrims had visited them, to Zorava in the Hauran served to impress his fame not only on the Syrian population, but on their Moslem conquerors, and again on the Crusaders, who in grateful memory of the saint's intervention on their behalf at Antioch built a new cathedral at Lydda to take the place of the church destroyed by the Saracens. This cathedral was in turn destroyed by Saladin.

The connection of St. George with a dragon, familiar since the Golden Legend of Jacobus de Voragine, can be traced to the close of the 6th century. At Arsuf or Joppa -- neither of them far from Lydda -- Perseus had slain the sea monster that threatened the virgin Andromeda, and George, like many another Christian saint, entered into the inheritance of veneration previously enjoyed by a pagan hero. The exploit thus attaches itself to the very common Aryan myth of the sun-god as the conqueror of the powers of darkness.

The popularity of St. George in England has never reached the height attained by St. Andrew in Scotland, St. David in Wales, or St. Patrick in Ireland. The council of Oxford in 1222 ordered that his feast should be kept as a national festival, but it was not until the time of King Edward III that he was made patron of the kingdom. The republics of Genoa and Venice were also under his protection.

Minutes of the BNP meeting, held in North West Leicestershire on 2nd April 2011

The meeting was opened and chaired by Geoff Dickens.

Minutes of the last meeting were read and agreed.

Geoff first gave us a critical explanation of our monetary situation centrally and locally, then called upon Councillor Ian Meller to begin on today's subject of elections.

Ian, councillor in NW Leic., told us about the planning application in Coalville for a superstore, where the local people want Asda on one site, the Conservative councillors want to put a Tesco's on another site for what seem to be private reasons.

Cathy Duffy, Borough Councillor in Charnwood and East Goscote;
Cathy told us that we must concentrate on keeping the seats we hold, as we are much appreciated in the areas where we work by the public and by other councillors.

Councillor James North (Melton & Rutland) then gave us a presentation on the Localism Bill which is on it's second reading in Parliament. The bill gives power away from the government to local councils.
He summarised at the end:
Councils to decide who goes on their housing waiting lists,
Referendums on any local issue,
An open book for councils,
Decentralisation of services...and said that if we are aware of the bill we can use it.
Q and A:
Ian asked when the bill would be passed and James told us that it would be a few months after the elections.
Councillor John Ryde (Hinckley & Bosworth) told us the bill was part of Cameron's big society but that we can use their tools to fight our fights.
On being asked how to vote on AV James suggested we oppose it.

Leicester: The Most Islamic City In Europe

Leicester, an industrial city in central England, is home to the most conservative Islamic population anywhere in Europe, according to American diplomatic cables that were obtained and recently released by the website, Wikileaks. Leicester is also on track to become the first majority non-white city in British history.

The politically incorrect observation was made by a senior US State Department official who visited the city as part of an effort to engage Muslim communities in Europe. It reflects how Leicester's long-ballyhooed experiment with multiculturalism is being challenged by Muslim separatism and assertiveness.

A leaked diplomatic cable recounts the October 2007 visit of Farah Pandith, the US State Department's Senior Advisor for Muslim Engagement, to Leicester, a mid-sized city some 70 minutes north of London. The stated purpose of the visit was for the US government to find ways to help Britain "update and improve" its approach to stopping "home-grown" Islamic extremists. The document says Pandith found the lack of integration of the Muslim community in Leicester to be "striking."

The cable says, among other observations, Pandith was shocked to find "girls as young as four years old were completely covered." The document continues: "At a local book store, texts… seemed designed to segregate Muslims from their wider community, urging women to cover themselves and remain in their homes, playing up the differences between Islam and other religions, seeking to isolate Muslims from community, and feeding hate of Jews to the young."

The cable also recounts a discussion Pandith had with religious and community leaders at an Ahmadiyya [an Asian Islamic sect] mosque: "Yaqub Khan, General Secretary of a local organization called the Pakistan Association, insisted that he had to teach young people in Urdu. When Pandith challenged him as to why he would use Urdu with children who were growing up with English as their first language, Khan insisted that there were no good books on the Koran in English."

After World War II, the British government encouraged immigration to the country to alleviate an economic crisis, and that trend accelerated dramatically in recent years due to left-wing immigration policies seeking to foster multiculturalism. A new study by the think-tank Migration Watch UK shows that during the thirteen years that the last Labour government was in power (1997-2010), immigrants arrived in Britain at a rate of almost one a minute .

A fair number of those immigrants settled in Leicester -- once known as a center for manufacturing shoes and textiles -- where immigrant groups now make up nearly half that city's total population of 280,000. Many of the immigrants are of South Asian origin; the city is now known for its many Hindu, Sikh and Muslim places of worship.
The sharp rise in Muslim immigration, however, is upsetting Leicester's ethnic balance, and casting doubt upon the city's multicultural future. After Christians and Hindus, Muslims are the third-largest faith group in Leicester. The city's Muslim population is estimated at between 11% and 14% (or somewhere between 30,000 and 40,000 Muslims), which is well above the percentage (4.6) of Muslims in Britain as a whole. The Muslim population in Leicester is made up mainly of Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis, as well as Turks, Somalis, Kenyans and Ugandans. According to the Ummah Forum , "you'd really like Leicester if you want to be around a large population of Muslims."

Muslim immigration has led to the proliferation of mosques in Leicester, which now has more than 200 mosques and madrassas [Islamic religious schools]. The city is also home to several mega-mosques. The Leicester Central Mosque complex has a capacity for nearly 3,000 worshippers. It also has a school, a community hall, a residence hall for imams, a mortuary and a guest house. The huge Masjid Umar mosque has four towering minarets and a grand dome that displays Arabic calligraphy from the Koran.
The most influential Muslim in Leicester is Shaykh Abu Yusuf Riyadh-ul-Haq , a hard-line Muslim cleric who runs the Al Kawthar Academy , an Islamic school in the city. Ul-Haq, 40, is also the leader of a new generation of "home-grown" British Islamists who loathe Western values, support armed jihad and preach contempt for Christians, Jews and Hindus.

Ul-Haq, who preaches in mosques across Britain, outlaws television and music, and says football is "a cancer that has infected our youth." He is appalled by young women who want to get educated and go to university. He regularly praises the work of the Taliban and their attacks against British troops in Afghanistan.
In a typical sermon entitled " Imitating the Disbelievers ," ul-Haq warns British Muslims of the danger of being corrupted by the "evil influence" of Western culture. He also heaps scorn on Muslims who say they are "proud to be British," and argues that friendship with a Christian or a Jew makes "a mockery of Allah's religion." Ul-Haq sermons are broadcast on Radio Ramadhan Leicester in Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Somali, Arabic and English.

Other Islamic separatists have been linked to the University of Leicester, according to the recent report, " Radical Islam on UK Campuses ".

In 2002, British police initiated a crackdown on supporters of Osama bin Laden's terror network in Leicester. A police swoop on predominantly Muslim areas of the city led to the arrest of eight Islamic jihadists, who were accused of belonging to al-Qaeda and conspiring to raise money to fund terrorism.

Meanwhile, Leicester has the fourth-highest rate of unemployment in Britain. The city also has very high rates of illiteracy, and ranks as one of the worst five municipalities in England for education.
An April 2010 survey titled " Muslims in Leicester " says that Muslims in the city are especially prone to underachievement and unemployment. The report says the inner city Spinney Hills neighbourhood, which has the highest percentage of Muslims in the city, is also the ward with the lowest rate of full-time employment, the highest rate of unemployment, the highest level of economic inactivity, the highest percentage of "no qualifications" for work and the highest level of social housing.

Muslims are now demanding political power within the Leicester city council, as well as the freedom to wear their religious dress at work and to have halal food in the city hospitals. They are also seeking their own faith-based schools.
One such school, the Leicester Islamic Academy -- where female students wear the full-length dress and head-covering and the boys wear black robes and skullcaps -- has been accused by the British government of promoting Islamic separatism. Another state-run Islamic school in Leicester, the Madani High School , has run afoul of government regulators for reneging on its promise that 10% of its pupils would be non-Muslim. A government official has warned that Britain is "sleepwalking to segregation." He said: "Segregation is now so extreme in some schools that there is not much farther it can go. It does not help to prepare children in these schools for the real world."

The British government has tried -- unsuccessfully -- to reverse the tide of Islamic separatism in Leicester. In June 2008, for example, the city hosted the first in a series of road shows designed to tackle the problem of honour-based violence . Leicester has been plagued by forced marriages, kidnappings, physical and mental abuse of women, and other honour-based violence crimes against those who have not, according to family and local community members, conformed to religious or cultural expectations.

Muslim assertiveness is also turning Leicester into a lightening rod for those who oppose radical Islam. In October 2010, for example, Leicester was the site of a demonstration organized by the English Defense League, a far-right group which emerged after Muslim extremists disrupted a homecoming parade in Luton in March 2009 for British soldiers returning from Iraq. EDL protesters in Leicester carried banners with slogans such as, "Sharia laws will destroy Britain and all our British values."
Alluding to the transformation of cities like Leicester, Michael Nazir-Ali, a bishop of the Church of England, has lamented that Islamic extremists have turned parts of Britain into no-go areas for non-Muslims . Lashing out at the spread of religious separatism and the damage caused by the doctrine of multiculturalism, Nazir-Ali warned against the acceptance of Islamic Sharia law in Britain, and added that amplified calls to prayer from mosques are imposing an Islamic character on many British towns and cities.

It is a rather strange irony that Leicester's motto is Semper Eadem : "Always the Same"

No tick-box for 'innocent children' in Denbigh, Wales

One of our Welsh members has written to tell us that he has been informed that Denbighshire County Council are carrying out a survey amongst children in all it's schools. He has discovered that it is actually being carried out by the Welsh Assembly! He says:
"Questions include: White people can not trust black and ethnic minority people: (agree/disagree). Black and ethnic minority people should feel inferior when white people are around:(agree/disagree).The children don't have to write their names so in theory it is confidential. BUT they do have to put their date of birth, their class number and gender. Any children that put in the 'wrong' answers can be traced, and therefore they and their families will become known to the government! Just 8 weeks before the assembly election! It would seem they are trying to work out our chances of winning a N. Wales list seat and how much effort they need to put in to combat us."

After filling in the box identifying them the children are asked to read the following statements, then circle their responses to each: strongly agree; agree; undecided; disagree; strongly disagree.
The 5 questions are:

1. Black and ethnic minority people always want their rights to be put ahead of white people.
2. White people cannot trust black and ethnic minority people.
3. Black and ethnic minority people do not get as much respect from white people as they deserve.
4. Some white adults tell their children the wrong things about black and ethnic minority people.
5. Black and ethnic minority people should feel inferior when white people are around.

Isn't that sick, fascist even? Threatening and divisive too.

I do hope no Council in Leicestershire follows suit with this creepy method of intimidating young children, with elections coming up soon.

To parents; check what your children are being made to do in the name of 'diversity' and 'equality'. Their education may not be that innocent.

Minutes of the BNP Leicester Joint Meeting,19th Feb 2011

Minutes of the last meeting were read by Helen Cooke and agreed.

Matters arising: Geoff told us that Peter Jarvis had polled 7.8% after putting out two separate leaflets. Apologies from the Melton Organiser James North

Charnwood Organiser, Steve Denham, gave us a breakdown of Charnwood's finances. In mid-January they held an Activists Meeting, and they have a good chance in six of the seats they are standing in the forthcoming elections. Also, there's a housing development which local people are objecting to and Steve has offered our support. Steve and Peter Jarvis are doing a sponsored walk round Rutland Water if anyone would like to sponsor them.

Cllr. Ian Mellor for North West Leics. told us how Wayne, who could not have done more for the party since the age of 18, has had to resign from the parish council along with two other good councillors because of the problems caused by a further two other councillors who in fact have been seen delivering leaflets for the UAF. They phoned to make trouble at his work, the school where he is a governor, his church and the press. Ian also told us that they had put out Christmas cards with British holidays, festivals, and other useful information on the back. Coalville has a 'green wedge', a strip of green belt which is good arable farming land on which there is a proposal to build three thousand homes. He asked us to please put ourselves forward for election to local councils, we haven't long to help this country!

Organiser's report: Geoff confirmed that it was important that we stand as candidates for parish councils, especially as decisions are being devolved down. Sell as many papers as you can. One lad in Coventry sells 400 copies each time it comes out. Finances: the East Midlands has about 24 thousand, ten thousand of which is on loan to the central party.

John Ryde thanked James Mole and Geoff for their work with central party finances. He also proposed a vote which went unopposed:
"This meeting calls for an EGM at the earliest date possible to ratify our voting on constitutional reform passed at Party Conference."

Marlene Guest, our guest speaker told us amusing tales of how she came into politics, of bad mayors and councillors on Rotherham council, of local Somalians circumcising their girls, of 800 Africans arriving, 81 of whom had AIDS, of grooming of our girls, and how she worked to help and in the end she joined our BNP, and began the Rotherham Branch of the party. She could have talked for hours and we could have listened!

The collection, including teas, raised £332.19.
The raffle raised £78.
The next meeting will be early April in North West Leicestershire.

Call Centre Request

One of our supporters in the East Midlands sent us the following suggestion by email; it's worth trying, to promote British jobs for British people.

call a company for a service or whatever.

Here is a proactive way of bringing jobs back to the UK. Do the following when you phone any customer service operation that is based in a foreign country.

Any time you call a company about a problem with a credit card, bank account, computer product, etc, and you are answered by a person in a call centre abroad, eg. in India, try this:

As soon as you realise that the customer service person is not in the UK (you can always ask if you are not sure about the accent), very politely please (very politely - this is not about trashing other cultures) say,

"I'd like to speak to a customer service person in the United Kingdom."

The rep might suggest talking to his/her manager, but, again, politely say,

"Thank you, but I'd like to speak to a customer service person in the UK ."

YOU WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED to a rep in the UK .. It only takes a few seconds to have your call re-directed to the UK .

Tonight when I got redirected to a UK rep, I asked again to make sure -
and yes, she was in Swansea.

Imagine if tomorrow, every UK citizen requests a UK rep, how that would
impact the number of extra UK jobs needed.

Imagine what would happen if every UK citizen insisted on talking to only UK
phone reps from this day on.

Remember - the goal is to restore jobs back here at home - not to be abrupt
or rude to a foreigner.

The Leicestershire branch of the British National Party has just published it's annual financial review. So that all of their local supporters can see where the money that they donate is being spent we have been asked to publish the review on this blog and are happy to do so.
Please note that these accounts do not include North West Leicestershire, Charnwood and Melton branches.

Financial Review for the year ending 2010

Our branch turnover was £7,071.83

The biggest part of the income was:

Printing raised £662.40.
Donations were £1289.76. £1050.65 was in cash (of which £65.42 was bags of 20p’s or penny boxes and £180 in standing orders) and £239.11 in goods.
Freedom newspaper sales raised £886.60. Of this £795.60 was from bulk sales (40p per copy) and £102.40 from standard sales (60p per copy).
Collections raised £888.22. Total meeting collections raised £2260.40 (4 of the 6 meeting were joint so the collection was split between the 4 county groups.)
Merchandise Sales were £434.92. Of this £132.17 was profit.
Identity sales raised £27.
Sales of raffle tickets raised £427. Of which £146.74 was profit for Leicestershire branch. (4 of the raffles were at joint meetings so the money raised was split between the 4 county groups and 1 was a head office raffle where profits were split equally between our branch and head office)
Other income came from a sale of rosettes and an auction.

Other expenditure was for raffle tickets and prizes, renewal of P O Box, speaker fuel expenses and rosettes.

2010 was an expensive year for the Leicestershire branch due to the General Election. For the first time ever all ten parliamentary seats in the county were contested, six of them in our branch area.

Our biggest profits continue to come from our regular donors. As noted above, this year they gave £1289.76 and I would like to once again give my thanks to everyone who has made a donation to the branch this year, whether cash or goods.

Sales of the party newspaper Voice of Freedom and Identity magazine made us an annual profit of £393.60. We would like to increase the number of papers we sell each month so if you’d like a copy delivering to your home please get in touch with your local contact.

The total income from meeting collections increased by £583.90 due to bigger turnouts from joint meetings with the other three Leicestershire groups and total raffle ticket sales at meetings increased by £121.70.

Leicestershire’s financial position remains healthy even after the large expense of the general election. We do, however, need to increase our number of regular donors so that we are in a position to contest any future parliamentary by-elections or, should the coalition collapse, another full general election.

John Peacock and the Peacock Club

'John Peacock was a stalwart of the British Nationalist Party in the days when British Nationalism had imploded post 1979-80 when the promising nationalist party of the day had ended through infighting and collapse in morale after their defeat in the General Election of 1979.

He fought doggedly on to promote the cause of the newly formed British National Party and to keep alive the flame which was to blossom into the party we know today. During those dark days his industry in attending activities, standing in elections and flying the flag for the party when all seemed lost is his legacy of tenacity and a beacon to us all.

Hostility was particularly pernicious from the far left and it was necessary for John to park his works vehicle remote from his residence to avoid it being attacked. Undeterred, John showed his mettle and to continue the fight stood twice in the Blaby parliamentary constituency, once in 1992 polling 521 votes or 0.8 percent and again in 1997 polling 523 increasing his percentage by 0.2 to 1 per cent.

John Peacock was amiable and got along well with those he came into contact with – never a betrayer of their trust and a bulwark of support to those loyal to the cause. John had served as a regular soldier in the Royal Leicestershire Regiment and this had stood him in good stead for the road he had taken, into his quest to work for British Nationalism.

Sadly John Peacock lost his final battle to an untimely illness and he would be sadly missed by those who followed and picked up his standard. As a tribute to him, the fund raising club for the East Midlands British National Party was, quite rightly, given his name, The Peacock Club. A finer tribute could not be given to a stalwart who blazed a trail across two decades, the 80s and 90s, when all seemed lost and recovery seemed totally improbable.'

2001 Edward Scott gained 1357 votes (2.8%).
2005 Mike Robinson increased this to 1704 votes (3.45%).
2010 (Blaby changed to Leicestershire South) Paul Preston gained 2721 votes (4.99%).

The Peacock Club helped fund our last Euro campaign, it's members
raising just under half of the total costs.

...And a rather different view of Leicester

From the previous Daily Mirror article, cooing over the joys of multiculturalism in Leicester, and the rapid decline of white Britons in our English city, we turn to another view, this time uncovered by Wikileaks. The article was published by the Daily Telegraph. It begins:

What country do you think the Americans were talking about in their cables, just released by WikiLeaks? Afghanistan? Saudi? Pakistan?

Actually Leicester, motto Semper Eadem, “always the same”, which the US State Department’s senior adviser for Muslim engagement, Farah Pandith, said was home to “the most conservative Islamic community she had seen anywhere in Europe”.

A confidential cable detailing the trip stated: “Despite the many positive programs in Leicester, the isolation of some parts of the Muslim community was striking"

The author quotes Leicester Council's 'One Leicester' guide...
Leicester has a reputation for welcoming and celebrating diversity” and “the residents of Leicester recognise that the city is both multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-faith”.
...and remarks that it is an odd thing to 'celebrate'.

He goes on:
It’s an interesting fact that only cities with strained community relations adopt the “one” slogan, Luton being another prime example. Ken Livingstone put up posters proclaiming “one London” after the 7/7 attacks, the equivalent of the air hostess saying “don’t panic, we’ve still got one engine left!”

And:
In good times, in wealthy areas, in top schools and universities, diversity is an advantage that allows the transference of new ideas; in bad times and in poor areas it can be a serious weakness. Leicester has not only above average rates of unemployment but also very high rates of illiteracy, and is one of the worst five authorities in England for education; it is not a playground of the rich.

Leicester is now a 'poor area' then. How times have changed! When and how did this come about?

The author, talking about America, concludes:
But even since adopting multiculturalism, America’s ruthless capitalism system still forces immigrants to work, learn English and become American; in contrast Britain’s welfare state promotes separation, self-pity, resentment and radicalism.

And whereas the United States had the American dream, we’ve ended up with the British nightmare. Where did it all go wrong?

Well, you could blame the lefties, the Marxists, the hippies with their their drug-sozzled brains, chasing rainbows. Some, or all of them. What none of them bore in mind was that rainbows are ephemeral, they disappear into thin air. And there's no crock of gold waiting at the end. Just muddy earth.

Leicester's joyful multiculturalism

The Daily Mirror yesterday ran an article extolling the virtues of multiculturalism in Leicester. Two people were interviewed; one was an elderly Sikh, Sukhdev Sangha. The article writes of Mr. Sangha:

Every day for the last 40 years, Sukhdev Sangha has watched the world go by from the window of his corner shop in Leicester.
And as he looks out onto the busy street today, the 67-year-old can hardly believe how things have changed.
One of the first immigrants to arrive in the city after coming from the Punjab in 1967, the Sikh stood out as one of the only faces of colour in a sea of white.
He and his wife were stared at as they walked down the street and he was barred from the first job he applied for – as a bus conductor – because he wore a turban.

But today people of every hue, every religion, pass by his shop window – and in every 10 faces, maybe one is white.

“And I believe multiculturalism has made Leicester a better place,” he says.

One has to wonder if a white person might not encounter 'a sea of brown' in his native India? Perhaps he couldn't get a job as a bus conductor because they wore regulation headgear; why did Mr. Sangha insist on wearing a turban, which was not part of the uniform?

Only 1 person in 10 is white, and Mr. Sangha appears to believe this has made Leicester "a better place"? Wouldn't there be consternation if the reverse were so in India, African countries, or Israel? Mind you, his shop is in Belgrave Rd. - an Indian enclave. I wonder why white Britons deserted the area, most weren't exactly affluent.

Mr. Sangha believes Leicester is better for multiculturalism; does he not know that the city was the second richest in Europe in the 50s. Look at it now. Everyone I know avoids the place; they find the atmosphere threatening and hostile, and dirty and crumbling too. Quite unlike the smart, friendly and industrious city we once knew and loved.

The Mirror remarks:

New estimates suggest children from white families are now in a minority in the city, making up only 47% of the under-16 population.

Leicester is set to become Britain’s first plural city, where no ethnic group will form a majority, by 2019, with Birmingham expected to follow five years later.

It is something Leicester East Labour MP Keith Vaz welcomes.

He said: “Leicester’s diversity and successful integration is a mark of its confidence in itself. Our communities have always got along with one another.”

Why does Keith Vaz (who is heartily disliked even by many in his own constituency) welcome the decline of a white majority in a white country, for that is what it amounts to? And once upon a time, we were a community, Mr. Vaz. Not disparate communities. One community. Disproving your contention of integration.

Stan Samuel is the second resident to have his say.

Stan Samuel, 48, runs the One Voice Young People’s Centre, a meeting place for the city’s youth of any ethnic group which – ironically given Cameron’s speech calling for greater integration of different groups – is under threat because of Government cuts.

Stan says Leicester folk are proud of how people of so many different backgrounds co-exist, although he believes the city has a long way to go before it can boast of being truly integrated.

Stan, whose parents came here from the West Indies in the 1960s, says: “You may come to the city centre and see an equally balanced mixture of every different group, but most will live almost exclusively with their own people.”

Stan's group, though admirable, is probably under threat because the Rates, now called Council Tax, were never meant to pay for all these groups. Volunteers, doing it for free, were the order of the day once. But I wouldn't worry, it's far more likely that the cuts will fall on libraries and old folks' centres.
Actually, Stan sounds a bit more grounded in his views. He obviously gets around a bit more than Mr. Sangha, though at least Sikhs, Hindus and West Indians will go for a pint and most seem to have a sense of humour.

What really puzzles me about this article is that no muslim was interviewed. Did they all refuse to speak to the journalist? Would it have contradicted the essence of the article maybe? Surely the reporter could have found one muslim prepared to speak of his joy at integrating with the Leicester community? No? Fancy that.

David Cameron - a wolf in British National Party clothing..!

In a letter to members and supporters, British National Party Chairman, Nick Griffin MEP, writes on David Cameron's latest pronouncements:

Leicester City Council will be interesting, when it is published. I have been made aware, for instance, that since Councils have been publishing their spending of over £500 that Leicester City council have spent £3,345,000.00 on Asylum seekers!

Blaby District is the only local Council appearing on the site so far. By far the largest item disclosed is for Hallam Contracts; under the heading Finance and Efficiency we find that Blaby spent an average of £89,523.00 per month on this firm, a total of £268,569.00 between April and June, 2010.

The page dealing with 'Hallam Contracts' states: "No information known about this supplier. Help us identify this company/supplier"
I think I know; I believe this to be Hallam Land Management Ltd. Countesthorpe residents will be unhappily aware of this firm as it was them who pushed through the unwanted development on Leicester Road in the village, acting for Boot Homes. And if you look on thhe gates of Blaby Hall, you will see that Hallam Land Management either own it or lease it. I wonder what Blaby is paying these people for?

Do look up your Council, and keep an eye on it if your Council does not appear yet. After all, it's our money they're spending, so it's right that we should be aware of where our money's going.

BNP Demonstration, Keighley 2005

So much has been written lately following the conviction and jailing of muslim paedophiles in Derby, and now 5 more suspects have been arrested in Manchester, that I wasn't sure what more I could add. After ignoring the problem for so many years, it is now admitted that this particular crime of grooming and sexually using vulnerable, mainly very young, white girls is being committed by gangs of Asian males - code for muslims.

The following is a transcript of an article published on the British National Party website; the date is 23rd. September, 2005. It's rather long, but I hope those who dismissed the BNP at the time as racist, even attempting to jail Nick Griffin and Mark Collett for daring to broach the subject, will feel heartily ashamed of themselves for covering this appalling crime up for fear of upsetting muslims. How many young girls and children would have been saved the ensuing miseries if the Police and Labour Government had not been obsessed with sweeping anything considered racist under the carpet.
Anne Cryer knew about it and tried to make out it was her that uncovered the problem, not the BNP. She was ignored too, anyway.
Jack Straw knew about it then but did nothing.
It was left to the BNP to do something. Here is what we said in 2005:

The aim is to provide a legitimate and sensible way for the white community to express its anger, and to pressure the police to reinstate the investigation and take action against the racist perverts.

Bradford BNP council group deputy leader, Cllr. Angela Clarke, is writing to Chief Constable Cramphorn with further details of the campaign’s demands and the concerns behind them:

“West Yorkshire police must be about the most Politically Correct force in the country, but even though we’ve come to expect them to be useless and biased against the white community even we’ve been shocked by the cynical way they’ve buried the investigation into ‘grooming.’ Only the other day the arrest of scores of mainly white perverts for downloading child porn on the Internet was national news, so we’ve got a situation where paedophiles elsewhere in the country rightly feel the force of the law for looking at sick pictures, but here in Keighley and elsewhere in this county paedophile gangs are allowed to groom, abuse and rape hundreds of innocent young girls, and the police turn a blind eye. Cramphorn is a bloody disgrace.”

Elusive and silent MP

Angela is also scathing of Keighley MP Ann Cryer: “She’s not said a word about this subject since the General Election, but as soon as we start organising to give voice to the concerns of so many desperately worried parents she starts throwing in her tuppence-worth in the local press. It seems that Mrs Cryer only ever takes action when she’s pushed to by the ‘threat’ of local people turning to the BNP.”

The new twist to the Muslim paedophile gang scandals emerged when Radio 5 Live broadcast a documentary on Sunday 18th September. This revealed that: “Hundreds of white girls, many as young as 12, are being lured into a world of group sex and prostitution by gangs of British born Pakistani men from West and South Yorkshire. The girls are being introduced to their future pimps by their classmates, often the brothers and cousins of these older men.”

Writing about the programme on the website Asians in Media, Sunny Hundal revealed that the police unit to investigate these disgusting racist crimes was closed down as soon as the media spotlight cast on the issue by last year’s Channel 4 ‘Edge of the City’ programme (that Chief Constable Cramphorn had postponed until after the European Elections, lest it benefit the BNP) had shifted away. He went on to describe the way in which “many, including the local community leaders (useless themselves in this), say the police are too afraid to tackle the issue – too politically correct and unwilling to disturb racial and religious sensibilities…. This is political correctness gone mad.”

Making a stand

Well, the time has come to make a stand on behalf of the neglected and abused White Roses of Keighley and Yorkshire. Islamophile police chiefs and Labour politicians must be shown that they can no longer appease ‘minority’ sensibilities without facing corresponding pressure from the majority community.

Every BNP branch and group in the country is expected to lay on transport and start mobilising activists NOW. We’re going to make this the largest demonstration in the history of the British National Party."

Despite recent problems, and efforts by disgruntled ex-members and other agencies to undermine the Party and exacerbate these problems, the BNP executive reports that the internal workings of the Party are improving rapidly and the outlook is much more upbeat than formerly feared. Most members, I think, will be pleased to know that operations will once again be carried out on the mainland.
Following an Advisory Council meeting on Sunday, Nick Griffin MEP reports:-

"We have now completed the bulk of the work required in
transferring the party administration centre from Belfast back
to the Mainland. This has been quite a complex task as it
involved arranging the rental of new properties, laying in new
communications systems and moving equipment. Staff Manager, Adam
Walker, has also started the redundancy process with staff
affected by the closure of our operations in Belfast. The bulk
of the mailings, the membership and the donation processing will
now be done from a new office in Cumbria, while the Voice of
Freedom subscriptions and the enquiries department will re-locate
to Nuneaton. In Nuneaton we have moved to a slightly smaller
unit as part of our cost saving effort.
The move from Belfast will substantially reduce our running costs as
we will no longer be paying consultancy fees and staff and office
costs will be far lower.

"We have learned a lot from our past association with the Midas
Consultancy and we are very confident that we can take those
lessons and practically apply them and further develop them as a
Party.

"Despite the predictions of the doom-and-gloom merchants and
naysayers during our changes it has been ‘business as usual’. The
last three ‘Friday fundraisers’ have been produced by a new team
and the response rate has been encouragingly high."

"Membership numbers dropped predictably after the “softer” members
who joined after the 2009 European victory dropped out after
their 12 months and internal issues have not helped, but I can
inform you that reports in some quarters of our membership

-The Meeting was opened and chaired by Geoff Dickens.
-49 people attended.

-Minutes of the last meeting were read by John Ryde and agreed.

-Matters arising- Geoff told us that as Kevan Stafford had stood down as Charnwood organiser, Steve Denham would take over the position aided by Michael Dyer. He went on to tell us that due to cutbacks the Belfast office would be closed, and that we [the BNP] are making inroads into our debt.
-Organiser's report- In the by-election in Saxondale in Blaby Gary Reynolds got 7% of the vote after putting out three leaflets. Peter Jarvis is a candidate in Blaby on Thursday.

-John Ryde gave us a press report. Of the postcards that Kevan had put through doors saying 'No To The Incinerator' 529 were posted on to the council, which was a good response, and it made it easy for people to give their view. Also they had BNP on them, telling the council we were on the case. John asked Wayne to come up and tell us about being 'in the paper'. Wherever Wayne has been since he has got very friendly feedback from people he has met. John suggested we Google to find out how many Common Purpose people there are in Leicester, in 2005 there were over 600.

-NW Leicester report-Wayne told us that Ivan Hammond is now on his Parish Council in Battram ward in Ibstock. Cromwell Dinner tonight, don't forget.

Guest speaker Chris Beverley, Yorkshire regional Organiser and PA to Andrew Brons MEP told us about his paid role as Andrew's personal assistant. He works from Leeds not Brussels, on casework arising in the area; like the problems with the EU's rules on fishing, problems with housing, and the soldier, now without legs, who's car grant is being taken away by the government. The soldier has gladly accepted a donation from the ten percent of Andrew's salary that is donated to help with problems locally . Chris's job is to promote the MEP's role, and he brought us free copies of Andrew's first annual report as an MEP .

-The raffle draw came next and the collection, then some interesting questions for the speaker.

-The collection £239.38 plus 100 pesetas plus one euro.

Councillors face cull as districts plan full merger.....

A local councillor has sent us the following article from The MJ, the journal for local authority business magazine:-

Voluntary local government reorganisation is one step closer, as the body governing council boundaries has announced it is reconsidering how to best carry out reviews.

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) has launched two consultation documents which will, between them, make it easier for councils to change the number of members they have, or go for a complete merger.

Under the recent financial pressures faced by councils, all options for saving cash are up for grabs, with several councils considering their options to cut councillors or merge. Until now, many mergers have been focused on back-office functions or senior management teams, but increasingly, councils are considering a more radical approach.

LGBCE chair, Max Caller, told The MJ that he had been approached by two or three pairs of councils which were interested in possible mergers, including Mid Suffolk and Babergh Borough Councilss, with others showing interest. But, he claimed, more might come forward when they saw it as an option. He said: "I don't think we can estimate the demand until we have done the consultation."

He said the commission 'has the power' to force hostile mergers, but had no plans to use it. Unlike the local government reorganisation under the last government, any potential mergers were, for now, likely to come from councils themselves.

To join up, the commission would require councils to show value for money and would expect an advisory referendum to show support for an amalgamation.

Mr. Caller said: "From my conversations with councils across England, it's clear to me that there's an appetite among them to look at radical solutions to the challenge of delivering excellent services at a time of dwindling resources and rising public expectations. These papers will tell them if, and how, we can assist."

"Delivering electoral quality for voters will always be our priority. In achieving fairness for local elections, however, we can help councils reach their strategic aims too. The LGBCE is not just a regulator."

Last month, Telford and Wrenkin Council announced plans to review the number of councillors it had as part of its cost-cutting exercise. And earlier this week, Gloucestershire CC announced it had been given the go ahead to cut from 63 members to 53, after calls from the ruling Conservative group on the council.

Leader of the council, Mark Hawthorne, said: "I could not look our staff who are facing redundancy in the face if councillors weren't sharing the pain too."

The consultation will run until the end of the year, and Mr Caller hopes to have changes in place by the start of the new financial year in April 2011.

*It seems odd that councillors would vote for their chance of being elected becoming more difficult. And what's to stop a new combined council merging with a 3rd? Then a 4th? Altogether, it sounds more impersonal and cumbersome, needing more executives to run it smoothly, not less. I'm not sure this is what David Cameron means by his 'Big Society'; shouldn't that involve smaller units, working from bottom up? I.e., local people who know their local area well?
Better surely to get rid of the overseas jollies, sky-high expenses and daft quangos which local taxpayers were never meant to fund, before they cut the peoples' representatives.

Middle Class Voters are Liars and Hypocrites

A Labour frontbencher has launched an astonishing attack on middle-class voters, branding them liars, racists, drunkards and even paedophiles, revealed in an article in the Daily Mail HERE

Eric Joyce, the party’s Northern Ireland spokesman, condemned the public for attacking lying politicians when they themselves may be ‘living lies’ at home.
In his rant, Mr Joyce condemned ‘articulate and intelligent’ parents for putting the interests of their own children over those of the poor.

(All decent parents will put their children first, Mr. Joyce)

He accused parents of hypocrisy for condemning drug use while drinking too much and said that MPs were right to appeal to the worst instincts of voters, including racism.
Mr Joyce even condemned attitudes to the danger of paedophiles, pointing out that most sex offenders target young victims within their own families.

(Instinct is not confined to one class, Mr. Joyce. Neither is hypocrisy. But most people are decent and abhor paedophilia and excess so stop trying to put guilt where it doesn't belong)

He spoke out after shamed former minister Phil Woolas was ousted by an election court for whipping up racial tensions with false claims about his opponent.
Mr Joyce said: ‘Here’s the truth. It’s hard to lie as a politician because everything we say is subject to enormous scrutiny.
‘But politicians know the lies a lot of people live and they pitch to you accordingly.
‘There’s a lot of lying going on, for sure. But [critics] might want to reflect on who is really doing the lying.’

(One big reason why voters woke up and chucked your Party out, Mr. Joyce)

The outburst backs up Tory claims that Labour is not the party of aspiration and has a lax attitude toward hard drugs.

Michael Fallon, the party’s deputy chairman, said: "This extraordinary online rant demonstrates contempt for the electorate. Yet again, it calls Ed Miliband’s judgment into question. Only a few weeks ago he appointed Eric Joyce to Labour’s front bench."

(Careful, Mr. Fallon. How many election promises have been broken by David Cameron)

Mr Joyce goes on to accuse parents of condemning drug use among the young while drinking heavily themselves.
"Alcohol does immeasurably more societal and personal damage than ecstasy; but it’s available on tap,literally, while ecstasy’s an A-class drug. Many people support “the war on drugs” knowing that it’s completely ineffectual, while doing their own impressive bit for the Treasury down at the pub. So they feel OK for their pain-free opposition to “bad” substance abuse by the generation behind them while indulging themselves on the stuff their own generation deems OK." he wrote.

(They're really laying into alcohol, while praising hard drugs, aren't they. No prizes for guessing why.)

Outraged Tory Party chairman Michael Fallon described Mr Joyce's comments as an 'extraordinary online rant'

Tacitly accusing voters, like those who backed Mr Woolas, of racism, Mr Joyce said: "When desperate politicians in some tightly-fought marginals are tempted into grey areas of language and insinuation, they’re barking up the wrong tree. But on the other hand, perhaps they’re not."

(Is it the public who are obsessed with racism, and tell lies about their opponents, Mr. Joyce? No, it's politicians and their pet media, isn't it; stop looking for scapegoats among normal people.)

Sources close to the Opposition leader revealed that Mr Joyce will be disciplined by party whips. A Labour spokesman said: "Our top priority is to look out for the people of Britain. We have the highest respect for every voter – no matter who they support."

(Really? Whoever they support? We'll remember that the next time you lambast BNP supporters)

A chastened Mr Joyce sought to backtrack last night. He said: ‘I was simply saying that issues are not always as straightforward as they seem. I have the highest respect for the public and I would never insult voters.’

(You just did, Mr. Joyce, and I'm sure your constituency voters have taken note of it. You're right in one thing though: all is not as straightforward in politics as it seems.)

Mr Joyce was elected to Parliament in 2005 and achieved notoriety as the MP with the largest expenses.

It is of course the news that Prince William has announced his engagement to live-in girl friend, Kate Middleton.I bet you're as excited as the BBC over this; it's the most important piece of news on their website and no doubt the media are already jostling to interview everybody the couple have ever known (with pics). David Cameron says:" Me and Samantha are overjoyed" (so much for a public school education). The Dress, the Ring, Are they Really In Love?, all aspects of The Royal Love Story will be feverishly explored, it's very hard to think of any other topic today!

Other trivial bits of nothingness tacked on at the end of the News:

*Suspected terrorists held at Guantonamo Bay are to be paid millions in compensation by the UK Government (Otherwise known as British taxpayers' money).

*Unemployment hits 3 million today. (Bumped up by Twings moving their plant to Poland on 'Regeneration' money?)

A good day for burying bad news isn't it...

Oh, and David Cameron's quietly dropped his personal photographer (he couldn't find Cameron's good side presumably). That is trivial, but at least it'll save us a few pence. Let's hope it makes Euro MPs feel guilty enough to cut their expenses, that would save us millions.

Remembrance Sunday, Coalville

BNP members from around Leicestershire joined those from NWL Branch to observe Remembrance Sunday at Coalville, along with a huge crowd of local people. Some attended the preceding Service at the church, others waited to join the Parade when all proceeded to the War Memorial, where others were gathered. This year, our Treasurer and myself went on ahead to secure a place near the front, in order to get photographs. It was therefore very atmospheric to hear the drums in the distance, getting louder as the Parade came nearer, and to witness the incredible crowd which followed them. Surely, the people who turn out to honour our war dead gets more every year; the futile wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, resulting in the horrific death toll of our young forces men and women, preys on all our minds. But we honour all the fallen from all the wars and the recent losses focus our minds on those long gone also.

Cllr. John Ryde sent me a link to the Taxpayers Alliance website where he'd spotted an article by Fiona McEvoy concerning 'non-jobs'. Apparently, members send in examples of advertisements and the TPA publish them. You can read Miss McEvoy's article in full HERE

One of the public sector jobs advertised was for an "Interim Workstream Lead-Commissioning. Read what the job entails:-

Our local government client based in West Midlands is looking for an Interim Workstream Lead Commissioning to support the Putting People First Programme Manager in preparing for personalised commissioning in line with the Putting People First agenda. There are two roles, one covering Enabling the Citizen programme and another Enabling the Market programme.

You will be responsible for:

A Nail in the Fuse Box: The Persecution of the British National Party

The following article is by Dr. Sean Gabb; writer, academic, broadcaster and Director of the Libertarian Alliance in England.

The suppression of political parties is becoming an interesting feature of life in the managerial superstate known as the European Union It happened six years ago in Belgium, to the anti-immigration Vlaams Blok. And in London, High Court hearings have just (November 8th and 9th) that will determine the fate of the British National Party. Since judgment was reserved, we do not yet know whether BNP assets will be seized and whether party leader Nick Griffin, who is an elected Member of the European Parliament, will be sent to prison. We do know what has become of England: it is now a soft totalitarian police state.

For those who may be unaware of it, the British National Party is what its name says it is. It opposes immigration and the associated political correctness and attacks on freedom of speech and association. It also opposes British membership of the European Union and British involvement in wars of military aggression that do nothing to secure the peace and prosperity of the British people. And it is contemptuous of the claims about man-made climate change that are an excuse for the massive enrichment of ruling classes everywhere.

Not surprisingly, the BNP is not popular with the British ruling class. This has been hard at work for at least two generations on destroying a constitution that, since the High Middle Ages, had been uniquely effective at restraining power. This is a ruling class that rejoices in having put common law protections through a shredding machine; and in alienating sovereignty to a mass of foreign and even unknown organisations, to the point where democracy has become a joke; and in sponsoring the mass immigration needed to reduce working class living standards and to justify totalitarian “anti-racist” witch-hunts.

Yes, not surprisingly, the BNP is a witch that must be hunted. It is described as a “racist” party, and its members as violent and even psychopathic criminals. Its leader, Nick Griffin, is remarkable for his ability to assemble softly-spoken persons of quality into something like a baying mob.

To describe all the ways in which Mr. Griffin and his party are persecuted would take an essay which would also be a dissertation on the growth of the British police state. I have not the space to write such an essay. Therefore, I will look at the two chief current persecutions.

The first was announced on Tuesday the 2nd November 2010: Michael Gove, the Secretary of State for Education, told The Guardian newspaper that he would allow headmasters of state schools to dismiss any teachers known to be members of the BNP.
The ostensible reason for this is that members of the BNP cannot be trusted not to preach “hatred” in the classroom. Mr. Gove said:

"I don't believe that membership of the BNP is compatible with being a teacher. One of the things I plan to do is to allow headteachers and governing bodies the powers and confidence to be able to dismiss teachers engaging in extremist activity."[BNP members are to be barred from teaching; Education secretary pledges new powers for heads to dismiss teachers who are members of groups with 'extremist tenor', by Jeevan Vasagar]

Gove did add that this permission to dismiss would also cover members of other "extremist" organisations. However, it is to be doubted if radical Moslems and members of Trotskyite groups will be at risk of losing their jobs. There are too many of them in teaching, and they are too well-organised and too well-connected.

The permission might eventually be extended to religious Jews and Christians who refuse to celebrate the rich diversity of sexual orientations that is part of our established faith in England. Or it might not. But the permission will certainly be used ruthlessly to seek out and remove all schoolteachers who are, or who might have been, members of the BNP.

The second persecution has been under way for a couple of years: the concerted effort by the managerial state to suppress the BNP.
There is in England a taxpayer-funded body called the Equality and Human Rights Commission. This was set up under the Equality Act 2006, and it ostensibly exists to ensure that people are treated fairly and have their rights respected. One of its main actual functions has been to sue the BNP to the verge of bankruptcy in the name of "human rights".

In August 2009, the Commission began proceedings against the BNP under sections 24 and 25(5) of the Equality Act, on the grounds that BNP membership was confined to natives of the British Isles and white foreigners. Apparently, it was a violation of the Race Relations Act 1976 (as amended) that non-whites were not allowed to join a party committed to keeping Britain predominantly white.

Since then, the Commission has been lavishing the taxpayers’ money on an action that is supposed to vindicate the right of non-whites to join the BNP—a questionable cause of action, bearing in mind that few non-whites can really be aching to join an organisation like the BNP, and bearing in mind that the British State overall has been running the biggest budget deficit in the civilised world.

But vindicating abstract rights has not been the purpose of the action. Its real purpose has been to shut down the BNP. The legal proceedings could achieve this in three ways:

First, the BNP might lose and be compelled to admit large numbers of non-white members. These could then exploit its internal structures or take further legal action until there was no more BNP.

Second, the BNP might lose and then be sued again for breach of the final order. This could result in forfeiture of all party assets and the jailing of Mr. Griffin.

Third, win or lose, the BNP might be forced into bankruptcy by the costs of defending an action that had unlimited funding.

This real purpose became absolutely clear in the March of 2010, when the BNP did change its rules to admit non-whites, and the Commission immediately moved to the second option in its strategy for destruction. The BNP imposed two conditions on new members to prevent flooding attempts. First, prospective members should be visited at home, to see if they were suitable for membership. Second, all members should declare support for the “continued creation, fostering, maintenance and existence” of an indigenous British race, and should support action towards "stemming and reversing" immigration. The Commission argued that these conditions amounted to “indirect racial discrimination”.

The Commission won that round. On the 12th March 2010, a Judge outlawed the requirement for home visits, saying that this might lead to intimidation—though admitting that there was no evidence it ever had. He also outlawed the requirement to declare support for party principle and policy. He said:

"I hold that the BNP are likely to commit unlawful acts of discrimination within section 1b Race Relations Act 1976 in the terms on which they are prepared to admit persons to membership under the 12th addition of their constitution." [New BNP membership rules judged to be biased, Manchester Evening News, March 12, 2010]

The reason for this, the Judge went on, was that no non-white person could support these policies without compromising his “personal sense of self-worth and dignity as a member of their racial group”.

And so the BNP changed its membership rules again — it would now accept members regardless of whether they agreed with its policies.

However, these conditions for membership were only suspended by the BNP, not removed. And so the Commission went to court again, this time arguing that the BNP was in contempt for not complying in full with the earlier judgment.

As I reported earlier, judgement has been reserved. We can, however, be sure that, if the Commission turns out to have lost, it will find some other grounds of continuing its taxpayer-funded vendetta against the BNP.

How much more of this the BNP can take before it goes bankrupt is hard to say. As of August 2010, the BNP was said to be £500,000 in debt. This is about a quarter of its annual income. Much of this debt appears to have been run up in legal costs.

Every time I write one of these articles about the persecution of the BNP, I get several dozen e-mails from people who claim that the party really is a national socialist organization, and that its recent conversion, under Nick Griffin, is a convenient lie.

I find this an irrelevant claim. I happen to believe that the BNP is a white nationalist organization. Even if it were not, though — even if the BNP leadership really did believe that non-whites were less than human and that the Holocaust never happened, but should have — the rights and wrongs of this case would be unchanged.

It is unfair to treat people in this manner. What has been done, and is being done, to the BNP is oppressive. It is not the sort of thing that happens in a functioning liberal democracy. In a liberal democracy, people have an unquestioned right to say whatever they please on public issues—and they do not suffer even official discrimination, let alone legal harassment. In a liberal democracy, they have an unquestioned right to associate or not with whomever they please—and are not subject to administrative and legal bullying about “inclusiveness” and the unacceptability of “hate”. The fact that BNP members and the party itself are victims of state harassment—and, as said, there is much more than the two instances just given—indicates just how much England has moved towards totalitarianism.

I go further. If Nick Griffin and the BNP were openly avowed followers of Adolf Hitler, and if they met together in public to listen to the webcasts of Harold Covington, they would probably be more left alone than they are. They are persecuted for their opinions on race and immigration. But they are persecuted still more because of all else they oppose or stand for. For all it did badly in the elections of May 2010 (in terms of seats—as two left wing blogs perceptively noted here and here, it did strikingly well in terms of votes) the BNP remains the one possible voice for working class dissent from the established order of things.

And though unfair in itself, what is being done to the BNP should make any reasonable man worried about the future of England. Anyone who looks at the various manifestos and pronouncements of the BNP will see a party that claims to believe—and possibly does believe—in freedom of speech and association, in trial by jury, and generally in constitutional government as this has always been understood in England. It does not even advocate compulsory repatriation of those non-whites who are legally here. Whatever it may or may not believe in private, the BNP leadership is very distant in what it says from the Hitler-loving caricatures shown in the MainStream Media.

But destroy the BNP, and the result will not be a vacuum. Other movements will emerge. These will be less interested in organising to win elections and debates than in arguing their case on the streets. Already, there is an English Defence League that has no apparent interest in electoral politics. This is almost certainly less thuggish than the ruling class and the MSM claim it to be. Equally, though, it is less constitutional in its aims and methods than the BNP. And the English Defence League may be only the beginning of the next stage in working class dissent from the established order of things.

Until modern trip switches (circuit breakers) became the norm, household wiring in England was protected from overheating by wired fuses. Each ceramic fuse contained about an inch and a half of wire to a stated ampage. This connected power as it came into a property to one ring circuit. Any power surge or appliance failure would result in immediate burning out of the fuse. The fuses were deliberately the weakest point in the whole wiring system. One reason they have now been replaced with trip switches is because many people were in the habit of replacing fuse wires with nails. This meant that fuses never blew—instead, houses burned down.

What the British State is doing to the BNP is the political equivalent of sticking a nail in the fuse box. The destruction of the BNP will buy a few more years of life for the politically correct fantasy of England as a country of enlightenment and universal love.

What may follow is well enough known to any student of history...

Creeping Sharia

BNP Councillor, Cathy Duffy, has written to various supermarket chains, querying the standards of slaughter of their meat products, specifically halal slaughter.
This is the reply from the Co-op (text in 'bold' is by me):

"Dear Madam

"All own-brand fresh and frozen meat and poultry sold in Co-operative and Somerfield stores has been humanely stunned prior to slaughter, and all abattoirs and processing plants supplying our own-brand products are required to work to the standards laid down by the Humane Slaughter Association in their Codes of Practice.

"All our own-brand meat and poultry, with the exception of seasonal New Zealand lamb, is British Farm Assured. We require the New Zealand farms, abattoirs and processing plants to adopt the same high welfare standards as we expect from sites in the UK.

"As is the case with the overwhelming majority of lamb from New Zealand, our own-brand lamb from New Zealand is slaughtered in accordance with halal procedure, but, as detailed above, all animals are humanely stunned prior to slaughter.

"All our own-brand British lamb has been humanely stunned prior to slaughter, to the standards laid down by the Humane Slaughter Association in their Codes of Practice. We do not specify halal in our product specification, although several of our supplying sites produce only pre-stunned halal lamb.

"As the process used for all our own-brand lamb is essentially the same, and the welfare of the animal is not compromised at any stage, we do not label any of the lamb as halal. We are currently awaiting further guidance in relation to the labelling of these products, and will consider future actions once we are in receipt of this guidance.

Cllr Duffy says:

"I am beginning to think that all the large supermarkets have now got together and decided on one 'standard' reply to complaints based on the responses I have received from the other stores which is pretty much like this one!

"Why can't I bring myself to believe what they say though?

"Since we have started to shop at markets and other shops, local farms and a local butcher, who does not believe in the Halal way killing of livestock, etc, we are beginning to notice some rather 'large' savings in the purse - so I guess it really does pay to 'shop around'."

Halal slaughter is a component of Islamic Sharia law; for muslims, food must be halal compliant. For strict muslims, they need to know that their meat is definitely halal compliant, and we who wish to avoid it need to know what we are buying, so it should be labelled.
Whether stunned or not (I'd like to see proof of that!), only muslims are allowed to work with the production of halal meat, which also involves Islamic prayers being said over each animal. Thus, halal slaughterhouses discriminate against non-muslim workers, denying them equal rights in the labour market. By buying halal slaughtered meat we would be complicit in one more example of Sharia law creeping into Britain.
It's very similar to Jewish kosher meat, but when did you ever see this in the supermarket? Why the covert introduction of Islamic-style food onto our shelves now?

Asda has a halal meat section, but I noticed last week that it was much smaller than usual; I also noticed one or two packs of halal-labelled meat tucked into the normal section, Given the growing number of muslim customers at this store, does this mean that all Asda meat is now halal assured?

Sadly, I won't be buying any more New Zealand lamb. In fact, I'll only be buying pork products at supermarkets in future, and taking Cllr Duffy's advice of only buying other meat from local sources, from butchers who can assure me of where the animals were slaughtered. And I won't be eating chicken or steak in pubs and restaurants either because they can't, or won't, tell me where it comes from.

How about you? Are you going to be complicit in creeping Sharia, or are you going to be a bit more careful with what you're actually buying? And wouldn't you rather support British butchers anyway, who refuse to kow-tow to medieval methods of slaughter?

London Housing cap upsets Jon Cruddas

In The Guardian on Sunday, Jon Cruddas blasts the new Government rules on Housing Benefits as London Councils disclosed that they were block-booking bed and breakfast establishments outside the area, in Hastings, Reading and Luton, to cope with tenants who cannot afford to pay the high city rents which landlords refuse to lower.
"It is tantamount to cleansing the poor out of rich areas – a brutal and shocking piece of social engineering", Mr. Cruddas said.

Councils in the capital are warning that 82,000 families – more than 200,000 people – face losing their homes. It would be shocking indeed if ordinary, decent working people get caught up in this. But the following are some of those in London who have taken advantage of the system -and their landlords must be complicit. The blog is from 2008, has anything changed since?:

"Essma Marjam, 34, is given almost £7,000 a month in housing benefits to pay the rent on the five-bedroom villa just yards from Sir Paul McCartney's house and Lord's cricket ground.
She also receives an estimated £15,000 a year in other payouts, such as child benefit, to help look after her children, aged from five months to 14."

"HATE cleric Anjem Choudary nets £25,000 a year in benefits - £8,000 MORE than the take-home pay of soldiers fighting in Afghanistan, The Sun can reveal.
The Muslim extremist's handouts are not taxed, making his income equivalent to a £32,500 salary.
He has likened British soldiers to Nazi stormtroopers.
State handout figures leaked to The Sun show Choudary, 42, gets £15,600 a year in housing benefit - to live in a £320,000 house in Leytonstone, East London.

"Nasra Warsame's magnificent townhouse overlooks a courtyard and is in one of the most expensive areas of London.
It has four storeys, six bedrooms (some with balconies), three sitting rooms and four bathrooms - as well as a concierge service.
The property is worth a cool £1.8 million and would cost you or me nearly £1,600 a week to rent. It costs Mrs. Warsame nothing. In other words, taxpayers are picking up the £6,400-a-month bill to keep Nasra Warsame, seven of her brood and her elderly mother in the lap of luxury.
Mrs Warsame's husband and their eighth child, by the way, have been provided with a two-bedroom council flat nearby. His wife's palatial residence isn't big enough, apparently, to accommodate them all."

"Notting Hill; a £2.6million villa with wooden floors, granite work tops and roof terrace - home to single mother-of-eight Francesca Walker.
Francesca, whose mother is Jamaican, spent many years in a succession of council flats, which she claimed were virtually uninhabitable.
As a result, the council was forced to consider her as 'technically homeless'.
Unfair: 800 households in Westminster qualify for £500-a-week housing allowance, at a cost of £27.3million

"Next is a detached, double-fronted £1.2million house in Acton, West London, with three shower rooms and 'accessories' including a 50-in plasma TV, laptops, Wii, iPhone and PlayStation - home to the seven-strong Saiedi family from Afghanistan."

"Then there is the £1million mock-Tudor property, comprising two sitting rooms, conservatory and double garage, in Edgware (home to single mother-of-five Omowunmi Odia).

"Another £1million property in Barnet (home to the Connors, a family of Irish travellers).

For balance, read the others outside of the capital. Are all of these the 'hard-working families' lifestyles that Jon Cruddas wishes to protect? Perhaps he'd like to pay the shortfall in their benefits, rather than the people who do work to pay them.

Spending Review 2010 for the East Midlands

We have been sent a coy of the Spending Review, outlining plans for the East Midlands this year. A lot of it is usual polit-speak by the Coalition Government but does give an insight into what we can expect.

As far as Infrastructure is concerned, capital programmes being supported in our area are:
. M1 - replacing a viaduct carrying the M6 over the M1
. M1 - hard shoulder running and variable speed limits between junctions 28 and 31;
. A46 - improvements between Newark and Widmerpool.

The Review announces a £5,000 incentive for the purchase of electric vehicles coupled with the roll out of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Electric vehicle manufacturers based in the East Midlands may benefit from the introduction of these measures.

"The Local Growth White Paper will outline outline in more detail key initiatives to support growth locally and in the regions, including:
£1.4 billion Regional Growth Fund over 2011-12, 2012-13, and 2013-14. This will provide support for projects that offer significant potential for sustainable economic growth and can create new private sector employment, particularly in those areas currently dependent on the public sector, helping them to make the transition to private sector led growth and prosperity,tax Increment Financing, which will enable local authorities, including potentially those in the East Midlands, to borrow against locally raised business rates; and
"Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPS) which will provide the strategic leadership in areas and set out local economic priorities. LEPs will play a pivotal role in delivering the Government's aim for an economy "rebalanced" towards the private sector.

"In total, local authorities will have greater control over more than ?7 billion of funding from 2011-12 which is moving into Local Government formula grant, being unringfenced or is new funding for the SR10 period, so enabling them to better meet local communities' needs; and
"Reducing barriers to effective joint working by establishing the first Community Budgets in 16 local areas, including Leicestershire, and Lincolnshire, from April 2011. Pooled departmental budgets will help councils and their partners to work together to support families with complex needs. All places may be able to operate these approaches from 2013-14."

The writer of this Review tells us that we must tackle the problems now. I think we all know this must be done, after the disaster that was the Labour administration. What people need though is fairness. Help the genuine needy while curbing benefit spongers, tax in proportion to wealth, get out of the EU and cut overseas aid. The public will not easily forgive any more money squandering!

Comprehensive Housing Cuts

The National Housing Federation claims that the spending review will see housebuilding grind to a halt in the South

The construction of affordable housing will virtually grind to a halt in London and the South East after this week’s spending review, according to the National Housing Federation.
The body, without citing sources, says it believes the settlement will be less than half the £1.6bn current funding for affordable homes, effectively meaning the two regions will only be able to build marginally more than the 12,700 planned under existing commitments. This compares to 30,000 built each year in 2009/10.
The body’s analysis says just 243 extra homes per year will be able to be committed to, and that London on its own will face a £100m funding shortfall.
NHF chief executive David Orr said: “The impact of cuts of this level would lead to the building of affordable housing effectively grinding to a halt over the course of this Parliament.
“Such a slump in affordable housebuilding in London and the South East would not only be bad news for millions of people on waiting lists in the region, but it would be a hammer blow to the regional economy.”
The NHF claims that by protecting housing spend, the government would have built 103,000 homes in the next three years, saving 156,000 jobs.

On the weekend of 2/3/4 October seven representatives of East Midlands BNP, including five from Leicestershire, travelled over to Belgium at the invitation of Andrew Brons MEP.

We travelled to the town of Waterloo where we were to stay overnight arriving around 8pm following an 11 hour coach and ferry journey.

We started the following day with a visit to the Wellington Museum where we took a very informative self guided tour.

This Museum is situated in the former stagecoach station where the Duke of Wellington stayed between 17 and 18 June 1815. We visited the Duke's bedroom, the office where he wrote his 'Victory Report’, and his aide-de-camp’s bedroom. Various other rooms have each been dedicated to an army, and include authentic relics, documents, etchings and weapons of the various nations that took part in the combat. In the final room, the phases of the Battle are depicted through a series of illuminated diagrams, and there is also an impressive collection of rare weapons, such as 'La Suffisante', a 6 pounder cannon, manufactured in 1813, which was retrieved from the battlefield.

That afternoon we were taken by Coach to the site of the Battle of Waterloo. We were first given an overview of the battle by Eddy Butler and then made our way to the visitor centre to watch two films. The first film, ‘Waterloo, History of a Battle’, captured what life as a soldier was like and showed the movements of the troops with 3D maps and scenes shot during a re-enactment of the battle.

The second film relived this historic moment through a selection of clips from the film ‘Waterloo’, made by Russian director Sergei Bondartchouck in 1970.

We then made our way to The Lion Mound, a monument dedicated to the soldiers who lost their lives on 18 June 1815.
At the top of the Mound stands an enormous cast-iron lion weighing 28 tons.
We made our way up the 226 steps to the summit which is just over 134 feet high and admired the breathtaking view over the battlefield.

Our next stop was the panorama which houses a huge canvas which measures 361 ft by 39 ft and is a lifelike depiction of the battle situation at around 4pm on 18 June 1815, complete with sound effects.

Finally we headed into the Wax Museum which has figures depicting Napoleon and his generals on the eve of battle, Wellington and the Prussian commander Blucher.

We finished the day with a meal at the Le Bivouac de l'Empereur, an restaurant dedicated to Napoleon where you are transported to another moment in time. A huge fireplace, candles, and music from the 19th century created a unique atmosphere.

On the Monday the 4th we travelled to the European parliament in Brussels.

We were met by Andrew Brons MEP and taken into the parliament chamber (known as the Hemicycle) where a Latvian parliamentary official explained how the parliament works. Mr Brons then gave a short speech.

Next we went into one of the meeting rooms in the reception centre where the official gave a short presentation and there followed a question and answer session with Andrew Brons. Andrew and his Constituency Office Manager Chris Beverley then each gave an address to the audience.

Finally we made our way back to the UK arriving in Leicestershire around 10pm.

We would all like to convey our thanks to Andrew Brons MEP for the invitation and to Chris Beverley for organising such a superb weekend.

Letter from Cllr. Partner

The Coalville Times has published a letter (September 24th.2010) from Cllr. Graham Partner. Unlike the churlish Hinckley Times, who didn't publish a polite letter from Cllr John Ryde thanking constituents for voting for him in the recent Elections.

In it, Graham ably refutes the accusations of Cllrs Dave Everitt and Penny Wakefield, who are evidently getting their propaganda in early in anticipation of next year's Council elections. Thankfully, there is one local paper prepared to publish letters from all sides of the political spectrum. It is a shame others cannot follow suit.

Minutes of the BNP Joint Leicestershire Meeting September 2010

The Meeting was opened and chaired by Kevan Stafford. 92 people attended.

--Kevan showed us post cards which his group had printed instead of a leaflet saying 'no to the incinerator' and suggested other local groups might want to do the same. He also asked whether anyone would be prepared to take on his role as Charnwood Branch Officer.

--Geoff Dickens, Leicester and East Midlands Organiser, told us that the inefficient central running of the Party was a big vote loser, as well as the fact that Mr. Griffin will be stepping down sometime in the next few years. He and James Mole and Brian Mahoney had been asked to look at Party finances as a business to see what needed doing to improve things. Cut-backs will be made and people removed from posts to save money, some offices may be closed and our debts will quickly be reduced. There are problems, they are not insurmountable. A British Heritage regional account will be opened tomorrow, and the ultimate aim will be for all regions to run as the East Midlands does.
--John Ryde asked people to consider becoming Parish Councillors in the local election next May, even borough or county councillors! Wayne McDermott has done such a good job as Parish Councillor in Ellistown that as well as helping the town it has given him and the party a good standing locally.

--Guest Speaker Arthur Kemp reminded us that we've been fighting in Afghanistan for nearly ten years, much longer than World War Two, on the wrong assumption that Al Qaeda were based mainly there. In fact the 'men' who flew into the Twin Towers were from Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Our soldiers have died; one point three million Iraqis have died he told us, because the mob in Westminster invented a pack of lies to wage an aggressive war. The head of M15 said that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were the primary cause of terrorism in Britain. The huge immigration of Muslims to this country ensures we have a large pool of Radical Islamists here.
A war for the existence of our nation and our identity is the only war to fight he said, and reminded us that in twenty years time the indigenous people of this country will have the minority of live births. Imagine saying that to Japan, that they would be in the minority, or to Nigeria or India, they would say it was wrong. What we do will decide if our children and grand-children grow up in a country which is recognisable to us, what you do will determine whether we save this nation or not.

Letter from Lincolnshire

Today, Tuesday 7th September, Nick Griffin and 2 more members of the BNP will be in Court yet again in respect of the EHRC's tedious case against the Party's constitution. I won't go into the whys and wherefores of Trevor Philip's anti-British vendetta, members will be well aware of them. But here we re-print an excellent letter which a BNP member in our sister county wrote to his MP. It's food for thought, and hopefully will encourage others to write to their MPs about this.

"Dear Mr Osborne,

This is the third time of writing to you (one letter and one e mail) and to date, no answer has been received.

I am complaining about the waste of my money by Trevor Phillips of the Equalities and Human Rights Commission on his pursuing a personal vendetta against the British National Party. We, the public, are paying for seventy top lawyers and barristers plus, of course, all the costs of running this department – to what end? All of their trumped up charges against the BNP will not benefit the British public one iota.

If ever there was a disgraceful waste of tax payers money, Trevor Phillips and his EHRC are prime examples. How long are you going to let this rampant communist misuse our money, when the rest of us are having to tighten our purse strings?

Has Your Property Been Targeted By Thieves?

The travelling community has used symbols and signs as markers for centuries, to tell their fellow travellers following points of interest about a certain house, the area, etc.A rag tied to a tree, a twig bent a certain way for instance, can tell following families which way to go. Mostly, these are harmless, though can cause puzzlement; my grandmother couldn't understand why a steady stream of tramps, en route from Billesdon Union to Leicester, called at the house. The explanation was that she could not turn a beggar away without giving him bread and cheese. A more savvy neighbour pointed out the sign scratched on the gatepost which had signalled to his fellows that this was a 'good house'!

It's important to note the above, but not all these signs are innocent. Police in Lincolnshire recently issued diagrams of travellers signs which marked those properties which were ripe for crime, or even those were not worth thieving from. It's worth checking the boundaries of your property for any odd marks or broken twigs which could tell you what thieves think of you, your house, and what they might be planning.
Below are the symbols you should look out for. If you find one it would be wise to tell the police - and check your security.

Tug o' War at Ellistown Gala

A day of fun was organised at Ellistown Gala at the weekend, organised by local residents and councillors, including Cllrs Wayne McDermott, Graham Partner and Ian Meller.

The picture below shows the Leicester BNP team (Bungle's Boys) competing in a heat of the Tug o' War. Sadly, they lost, thnough managed a creditable 3rd. place, and the final was won by the New Ellistown Pub team. (Word is, that the BB's also took part in the Maypole Dancing!) Well done to everybody who took part!

Never mind, there's always next year; they're already in training, with hours of leafletting and canvassing which will get our lads strong and healthy enough to beat the opposition then!

Leicester BNP man 'on the mend'

Veteran Leicestershire BNP member, Mike Robinson, has contacted us to say that he has had a minor stroke, accounting for the problems he has suffered recently. Mike tells us that, under his new health regime, he is feeling a lot better.
"Expect to see me about again before long, although perhaps NOT so long-winded, out there on the streets!", he tells us.

BNP News has released a report following the AC Meeting on Saturday, 14th August. The full transcript can be seen on the main BNP website.

Blunt talking and decisive action on finances, the appointment of a new regional treasurer, Richard Barnbrook’s situation, important structural reorganisation and plans for a new anti-Afghan war campaign dominated today’s BNP Advisory Council meeting.
"The main part of the meeting focussed on discussing finances," BNP chairman Nick Griffin told BNP News this evening.
"There was a very full discussion of how the current financial situation had arisen," Mr Griffin said.
"More importantly, the meeting discussed what was necessary to put it right and what was necessary to avoid this situation arising again.
"The core of the problem was identified as a matter of the party growing faster than our systems could cope.

"New controls have been put in place, but in addition to that, we have created a new national scrutiny committee consisting of East Midlands regional organiser Geoff Dickens, Wales regional organiser Brian Mahoney, *East Midlands regional treasurer James Mole, and one more non-AC member whose name will be announced shortly," Mr Griffin continued.
"Mr Dickens and Mr Mahoney have decades of experience in managing business with bigger turnovers with the BNP and will bring their expertise to bear on the committee."
The new scrutiny committee has been tasked with examining the structure of the treasury department and making concrete moves to ensure that there is a clear division between those who manage the accounts and those who authorise outlays.
The committee had its first meeting immediately after the AC meeting and will continue over the rest of the weekend, with the instruction to prepare a final report within a week.
"This committee has been given the mission to transparently study everything so that the national treasurer can be completely protected from malicious allegations," Mr Griffin said.
Next on the agenda was the issue of the regional treasury work. It was agreed that there was far too much work for one man to do both national and regional treasury work and that new scrutiny committee member Mr Mole would be appointed new Regional Treasurer with immediate effect.
Mr Mole has run the treasury of the East Midlands region for several years to great success and is the logical person to take control of the finances for those regions that do not yet control their own accounts." Mr Griffin said.

Next on the agenda was the recent decision by Richard Barnbrook to lay down the BNP whip in the Greater London Assembly.
Mr Griffin said the meeting had discussed the matter in full and had unanimously agreed to ask Mr Barnbrook to reconsider his decision. A further statement on the matter will be issued in due course.

*Update: Mr. Mole will be removed from the scrutiny committee in due course as regional as well as HO finances will be scrutinised, and therefore Mr. Mole will not be able to scrutinise himself.
Errata: David Hannam is not on the scrutiny committee, for the same reason as above. Mr. Mole will not be doing training at Summer School. These items have been deleted from the report.

Two planes landed in England the other day :

One carried a group of grotesquely over paid, immature, under achievers who complained they were tired and missed their families after two weeks in five star accommodation.

The other carried the coffins of 7 fallen soldiers who had spent months away from
loved ones living in tents in a war zone, they couldn't complain.

These soldiers earn £15k to £30k a year not a day.

2010 marks the 70th. anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The battle raged throughout August and September, 1940. We remember with gratitude the brave actions of the RAF pilots in this crucial battle.
Below, we reproduce an article, written in 2009, by County Councillor Graham Partner, which sets out the true reasons for going to war with Germany.

"On the eve of the Battle of Britain in 1940, when the fate of our nation hung in balance, Spitfire pilot Bill Millington wrote to his parents, “Being British, I am proud of my country and its peoples, proud to serve under the Union Jack and regard it as an Englishman’s privilege to fight for all those things that make life worth living: freedom, honour and fair play.”

Like so many in the RAF, Millington made the ultimate sacrifice in the heroic, victorious struggle against the Luftwaffe, as his plane was shot down over the southern coast. Yet his words beautifully encapsulate the spirit of patriotism that galvanised the British people during the Second World War.

It was the same deep love of our island home which inspired the soaring rhetoric of Winston Churchill, drove men to fight on the beaches of Normandy and the deserts of North Africa, compelled exhausted bomber crews to fly on missions for night after night over Germany, and enabled the British public to survive the Blitz so stoically. Patriotism is one of mankind’s most noble ideals, an extension of the natural loyalty we feel to our families, friends and neighbourhood. In its highest form, it requires us to lay down our lives to protect others, just as a devoted husband might risk all to defend his wife or children.

But in our modern age, patriotism is despised rather than admired. For the Marxist ideologues who now run Britain, love of country is a vice, not a virtue. As a result we are now encouraged to learn entirely the wrong lessons from the Second World War. Instead of being presented as a magnificent defence of our native land against a savage aggressor, the conflict is now portrayed as a triumph for the forces of political correctness against right-wing extremism.

In this warped narrative the Second World War has been transformed into a gigantic crusade against xenophobia, while our soldiers, sailors and airmen are regarded as armed outreach workers in a vast anti- racism project. It is a bizarre paradox of our times that, thanks to the predominance of multi-cultural dogma, the patriotic instinct that led to national salvation in 1945 is now treated as a thought crime.

The sense of unifying national identity that once motivated millions of Britons to defend their homeland is held to be suspect by a political elite obsessed with cultural diversity. We are told that opposition to mass immigration is the equivalent of siding with the Nazis.

Next month marks the 70th anniversary of the German invasion of Poland, which sparked the Second World War. In fact, Adolf Hitler had originally planned to begin the invasion on August 26, 1939, but at the last minute had hesitated, partly because of British and French guarantees to support the integrity of Poland, and partly because of the decision of Mussolini’s Italian fascist regime to remain neutral.

As it turned out, when Germany attacked on September 1, Britain did precious little to come to Poland’s aid. It was only after the nazis advanced through western Europe in May 1940 that Britain, under the new leadership of Winston Churchill, began to fight in earnest. But the vigour of 1940, compared to the lassitude of 1939, proves that the war was really about national defence, not an ideological campaign.

It is impossible to imagine the Britain of 2009 enjoying the same sense of patriotic cohesion that existed in 1940 if our very existence came under threat. In official circles, the concept of Britishness is a source of embarrassment and shame. We are a nation whose sovereignty has been surrendered to Brussels and whose unity has been destroyed by the collapse of our borders.

The Second World War has been dragooned into service by the political zealots as a battering ram against our national identity. The Government’s own educational quango, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, boasts that history teaching should be a tool for “valuing diversity and challenging racism” by gaining insights “into issues around human rights, equality and migration.”

Every museum related to the Second World War focuses obsessively on the role of ethnic minorities in the conflict, every EU bureaucrat stresses the importance of the European integration as a means of overcoming dangerous nationalist sentiments. One perverse aspect of this modern rewriting of history is the reluctance to blame Germany for the Second World War. All the blame is heaped on Hitler and the Nazis, while the German nation is exonerated.

In truth, it was the Germans who voted Hitler into power, who eagerly supported the war in its early years, and who ferociously resisted the Allies right until May 1945. Nazism could never have flourished without German enthusiasm for this vile creed, something that is now airbrushed from history in the drive to create a United States of Europe. The supreme irony is that we fought in 1940 to defend our national independence from German aggression, yet almost 70 years later we are now subsumed within a German-dominated continental bureaucracy.

Recently a D-Day veteran from the West Midlands spoke with anger and regret, stating that he did not fight in order to end up as an alien in his own country. Even more insulting, he said, was being told by politicians that the destruction of his society was the ideal for which he had gone into battle. His despair shows how deep has been the betrayal of his brave generation of patriots."

"Banning the burka is un-British"

Following overwhelming votes in the Belgian and French parliaments to ban the wearing of the burka in public, Philip Hollobone, Tory MP for Kettering, introduced the Face Coverings (Regulation) Bill, which would regulate the use of certain facial coverings, including the burka, in public. ( Mr. Hollobone was found to be the thriftiest MP when troughers from all Parties were revealed during the recent expenses scandal. He also has anti-EU views and has refused to meet constituents who insist on wearing the face veil.)

However, Damian Green, Tory MP for Ashford, and the Immigration Minister, has turned down Mr. Hollobone's proposal -which is echoed by the majority of people in Britain - saying that it would be 'undesirable' for Parliament to try to pass such a law, which would be at odds with the UK's 'tolerant and mutually respectful society', and that it would be "rather un-British".

Well, Mr. Green, consider this:

It's rather Un-British to protest against our returning troops
It's rather Un-British to s**t in a hole in the ground and wipe your backside with your hand.
It's rather Un-British to call for the murder of anyone who happens to disagree with your religious beliefs.
It's rather Un-British to practise female genital mutilation (yes, it does happen here).
It's rather Un-British for gangs to target children of other ethnicities for sexual grooming and prostitution.
It's rather Un-British to practise marriage to young children (citing your Holy Book).
It's rather Un-British to reduce women to the level of domestic slaves seen only as your property.
It's rather un-British to flout UK animal slaughter law (halal).

Perhaps Mr. Green could reconsider his stance? Or have we simply exchanged one set of limp-wristed, ardent multiculturalists for another? For heaven's sake Mr. Cameron, have a word with your Immigration Minister, grow a backbone and start standing up for the people of Britain; that's what your voters were hoping for. It isn't only the disdained white people of this country who want a ban, there are also Sikhs, Hindus and yes, many muslims who don't want Wahabi-inspired, pro-Sharia type clothing and masks being flaunted on our streets and public places. It's intimidating, and dangerous too; highwaymen in the past wore masks. Robbers and terrorists do today. Ask yourselves why anyone feels the need to cover their face -no, the answer isn't 'religion'. It might be 'culture', but if so...that's rather un-British, don't you think?

Holiday Crime Prevention Advice

As the children will be finishing school tomorrow for the summer
holidays and many people will be setting off on their summer holiday, we
would like to offer some tips to help you make your home more secure
while you are away.

Make your home look occupied by asking a trusted neighbour or friend to
collect mail and water plants etc.
Don’t leave curtains closed in the daytime as this shows the house is
empty.
Use automatic timer switches to turn your lights on when it is dark
Cancel regular deliveries such as newspapers and milk.
Avoid discussing holiday plans where you may be overheard by strangers.
Cut your lawn before you go.
Consider leaving important documents and valuable items with other
family members or a bank or a safe.
Don’t put your home address on your luggage on your outward journey to
your holiday destination.
Consider leaving valuable items kept in your shed in the house.
Put all your tools away including ladders so these can’t be used to
break into your house.
Finally, don’t forget to lock all external doors, windows, and gates and
set the burglar alarm if you have one.

12 Illegals Caught Working At City Firms

A team from the UK Border Agency discovered 12 illegal immigrants after they raided two businesses in Leicester: Rewalk Clothing and Sanjiri Mouldings, both based in Linden Street, Spinney Hills.

After sealing the exits, 31 workers were interviewed and their identity documents checked. 11 men and 1 woman, all Indian nationals, were found to be here illegally. Border Agency officials searched 10 houses for evidence to use in sending them back to India; two are being held in custody, but ten were released on bail.

Both firms could be fined up to £10,000 per illegal worker. A spokesman for Sanjiri Mouldings said that they had lost 3 of their 6 workers; he had no idea that they were illegals, and they didn't expect the raid. Phil Dyer, assistant director of the UK Border Agency said:
" We will not tolerate immigration abuse and will punish those who break the law. Illegal working is unfair on honest employers who recruit staff with the right to work in the UK and who pay them a proper salary."

A laughing stock around the world

The new Lord Mayor of Leicester certainly knows how to make the headlines.

Cllr Colin Hall is a Labour councillor who represents the New Parks ward. He received the chains of office at a Town Hall ceremony on May 27. He was first elected to Leicester City Council in 1991, as councillor for the Belgrave Ward. In 2007 he was elected as one of three councillors for New Parks.

And what skills and improvements can our new Lord Mayor bring to the role?

First of all he decided that he would not attend a cathedral service which traditionally takes place to welcome the Lord Mayor to his new role. A traditional civic service is held every year at Leicester Cathedral but Councillor Colin Hall informed officials he would not take part. The Bishop of Leicester's office said it was unaware of any Lord Mayor declining the invitation in recent years, including Hindus, Sikhs and atheists who all took part.

Cllr Hall had asked for the service to be more inclusive of other faiths, and of humanism; he wanted the Lady Mayoress (Eleanor Davidson, who conducts humanist celebrations) to read a humanist text, and his chaplain (Allan Hayes, president of Leicester's secular society) to give an address. When the bishop asked to see the sermon in advance, the mayor and his sidekicks pulled out.

Clearly tradition means very little to Cllr Hall. After taking office as mayor the Leicester City councillor decided not to continue the tradition of having prayers said before monthly full council meetings. A short prayer, rotating between different faiths, has been said at the meetings since 1997. Mr Hall has previously called the practice "outdated, unnecessary and intrusive".

Councillor Colin Hall was at Southfields library in the city to take part in a Global Education function. When he stood to give a vote of thanks at the event his trousers came loose and fell. Mr Hall was a guest at a Summer Showcase organised by Global Education Leicester, a network which works with teachers to promote greater understanding of global perspectives. Pupils from three local schools were present.

One pupil is quoted as saying: "It was like watching something out of a Carry On film. You half expected him to be wearing a big pair of comedy bloomers but as soon as he realised what had happened he pulled his trousers back up."

While another is quoted as commenting: "It was like something from Benny Hill. No-one knew where to look. There were a few laughs from the children, but it was a pretty toe-curling moment. Surely he should've been wearing a belt? It was a pretty basic error. He looked embarrassed and quickly pulled his trousers up, but by then it was too late. The damage was done. It’s not the kind of thing you expect to see happen to a Lord Mayor."

A Lord Mayor who doesn’t even have the skills to do up his trousers properly, just what Leicester needs!

Not only has he made himself a laughing stock but, by association, the office of Lord Mayor and the city of Leicester.

It will come as no surprise to anyone that Cllr Colin Hall, previously High Bailiff Of Leicester, is a signatory on an anti BNP letter published on the website of the Searchlight front organisation Hope not hate. One buffoon amongst many!

What may not be known is that Cllr Hall was forced to apologise by a House of Commons select committee.

“Mr Colin Hall, Chairman of the Leicester East CLP, threatened a witness with possible disciplinary and legal action because of allegations the witness had made to the Commissioner. We took the view that in putting improper pressure on a witness Mr Hall had committed a serious contempt, and asked him to appear before us to explain his actions. Mr Hall apologised unreservedly for any contempt that had been committed and undertook not to commit any further such actions in the future.”

This is good news for campaigners who have been fighting to stop the feeding-frenzy of greedy developers taking the opportunity to make a fast buck on the coat tails of Labour's desire to concrete over our green fields. Too many developments have already gone ahead, and are already causing misery to existing residents, whose objections were brushed aside.

But the danger is not yet past; even though Councils are well aware of the upset and fury felt by the majority of the people they serve, some can be lured by the legal bribes euphemistically known as 106 money. This is money paid by the developer to the Council for the purpose of 'gifting' a wanted resource to the Parish concerned. They don't always get it, but remain naively expectant of the tempting goodies!

In Leicestershire, Action Groups have been heroically fighting proposals to build on green field sites in Thurmaston and Barkby, LeicesterForest East, Coalville, Loughborough, Countesthorpe and Blaby. There are no doubt more.
Please, please continue to send in your letters to the relevant Case Officer at your local Planning Department, every letter really does make a vital difference. Even if the qualifying date for objections has passed your letter will still be taken into consideration.

Shameful Treatment of City Soccer Star

Earlier this month, Leicester City defender, Wayne Brown, was involved in a debate with his team-mates which turned into an argument when he allegedly told them that he had voted BNP in the General Election, which appeared to anger some of them. Wayne was forced to give a 'grovelling' apology, but is now under investigation.
PFA deputy chief executive Bobby Barnes has even gone so far as to speak out on the association's official website and said he hoped it would be hard for Brown to either stay at Leicester or find another club.
When contacted by the Mercury after the event, PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor said: "Leicester City has the full support of the PFA in its handling of this situation. Leicester is a multi-cultural city and Leicester City is a multi-cultural team, and we take these allegations very seriously."

I am glad to see that, in the Daily Mail's reader comments, most people are appalled at this reaction to a citizen's right to vote for whichever legitimate Party they choose.

Where Wayne made a mistake is in that he allowed himself to be goaded by his chums outrage at him having the cheek to vote for a Party they don't like, and went on to criticise immigration. This might have been an issue taken up by LibLabCon during the election campaign in order to garner votes, but, now that the election is over, there is no need to address peoples' worries on this subject: we are back to square one, and the same old, same old screams of 'racist!' can safely now be touted by the multicultural-soaked elite.

If Wayne continues to be persecuted for his opinions, and is hounded out of his job (he has been suspended), then he must take it further and prove that his views are his human right to hold, equally with anyone else.
Adam Walker did just that, with the support of his union, Solidarity. He won his case. I rather think Wayne would too.

Leicestershire BNP; Minutes of Regional Meeting, May 2010

The Meeting began with an excellent presentation by our East Midlands BNP Regional Fundholder who guided candidates and agents through all aspects of the paperwork needing to be completed following the General Election. It was agreed that all had learned more of the procedure which will stand Party members in good stead for future elections.

BNP Regional Elections Officer, Cllr. Wayne McDermott, followed with an analysis of the Election Results. He explained the facts, and the percentages, which showed how well BNP East Midlands region had done, contrary to the pessimistic reviews of the Party performance by opponents and the media.
EM saved deposits for the 1st. time (8), while the Greens only saved 5 across the whole country; at 34, the highest number of candidates, beating UKIP in 25 of 32 seats, and beating English Democrats in every seat they stood; attendance at several Hustings; an average of 4.5% vote, against 3% in 2005; all 7 seats contested in 2005 see growth in BNP support.
In Leicestershire, 3 deposits were saved with another missing by 11 votes; Leicester West a fantastic result of 6%, with the main area of vote determined. NWL was up 3.4% on 2005 with 6. 5%. Leicester East saw the BNP candidate being asked by Asian folk where they could vote for him as they don't want Keith Vaz.

The other Counties of the EM were discussed in depth; a shock result for Grantham and Stamford at 4.7%, an enormous amount of work by the candidate had paid off here; Boston & Skegness saved their deposit in Lincolnshire; Derbyshire, a wonderful effort by Erewash - a new Branch - and Amber Valley, with 7% the 29th in the country. In Notts., Nottingham North and Ashfield were picked out for special mention.

Geoff Dickens, EM Regional Organiser, had attended an intensive 2-day AC Meeting, and he began by requesting questions from the floor concerning the current situation and online smears. These were taken after he had spoken of the enormous progress made by the Party, and the improvements which will be implemented:

We now have more members in the EM than there were in the country when Nick Griffin took over;
100s of enquiries and 300-400 to come;
Over 3.5 thousand more members than last year, with membership in 2005 tying in with percentage.
Geoff remarked that this time it was the South-West's turn to have problems (ours before, with Sadie Graham and her fellow wreckers).
He reiterated that most small Parties were squeezed out at the GE by the 'American Presidential' style Election; if Nick went, the problems would remain the same, and there is no-one who could take the pressure like him.
We own the Truth Truck, Jenny Noble has the receipt for £19,000 paid just before the RWB.
Midas is a facilitator, necessary where the BNP has been refused credit (e.g.: Barclays.
Regarding info packs, since April 1st. 10,000 had not been processed, thanks to Simon Bennett.
No longer will individuals be in sole charge of areas, the website being one; the Regional Press Officer will speak to the Press, and we do not speak to freelance journalists.

The Party will be encouraging younger, capable people, with a view to educating them into Party policies.

A productive Question and Answer session followed. Due to the nature of the Meeting, there was no collection, raffle or teas to declare.

BNP candidates across the county of Leicestershire recorded their best ever general election results last night.

In 2005 no BNP candidates locally received more than 1800 votes or more than 3.5% of the poll.

This time three deposits were saved with votes in North West Leicestershire more than doubling.

Top of the pile was Ian Meller in North West Leicestershire with 3396 votes (6.54%) up 130.5% on the last general election in 2005.

Next was Gary Reynolds in Leicester West with 2158 votes (6.02%). This was an increase of 614.5% on the last time this seat was contested by the BNP in 1997.

Cathy Duffy in Charnwood received 3116 votes (5.82%) up 79.5% on the last general election.

All three saved their deposits.

The unluckiest man of the night was Paul Preston in South Leicestershire who missed out on saving his deposit by a mere 11 votes. He scored 2721 votes (4.99%) which was an increase of 60% on the last general election.

John Ryde in Bosworth, which was contested for the first time, gained 2458 votes (4.53%).

In Loughborough Kevan Stafford received 2040 votes (3.86%) up 795% on the last time the seat was contested in 1983.

In Leicester East Colin Gilmore gained 1700 votes (3.54%) an increase of 120% on the 2001 result which was the last time the BNP contested the seat.

In Rutland & Melton Keith Addison, contesting the seat for the first time, scored 1757 votes (3.18%).

In Harborough Geoff Dickens received 1715 votes (3.12%) up 513% compared to the last time the BNP contested the seat in 1983.

Finally, in Leicester South Adrian Waudby gained 1418 votes (3.01%). This was an increase of 407% on the last time the seat was contested in 1983.

Congratulations to all the BNP candidates on such excellent results.

BNP on The Politics Show

The Day started well, a nice drive to Derby to meet my agent and his guests prior to the event. We drove to the event quite expecting that there were going to be demonstrators from David Cameron’s sponsored UAF.

We arrived early and made our way to the entrance where we were greeted by the BBC, politely and courteous towards us all. We were shown around the hall and explained how the show was going to be run. Not only did the director and producer come for a personal chat but so did the presenter. Even though the audience was an all Labour one the atmosphere was not intimidating towards the BNP. My thoughts were that in their hearts they knew we are the only answer.

The show started and the questions rolled out. Then a question from a coloured taxi driver was put to me and the rest made a television show. Even though I was not given free speech or air time on all our policies I did my best for the Party.

After the filming we made our way outside and were approached by the BBC local radio and asked for a interview, We explained that we have always been given bad press and biased questions; he said he would only ask a couple of local issue questions so I did the interview for him. Unfortunately I have not heard the interview and would love a link to it if anyone has heard it. I would like to thank Paul Hilliard for his support, and his guests for making it a memorable afternoon and hope that my point was made.

Hustings at Kibworth

The Hustings originally scheduled to take place at Oadby, but cancelled due to far-left intervention by the extremist UAF, finally took place last night at Kibworth.
Many thanks to Canon Michael Rusk for determining that this democratic event would take place, and to all the candidates who felt the same.
Kuffar Haq, Lib Dem, Twittered earlier in the week that he was looking forward to debating business policies with the BNP candidate. Coincidentally this was one unasked question which Geoff Dickens was disappointed not to engage in as he knows rather a lot about business. What a shame the Chamber of Commerce didn't think to send Geoff an invitation to the Harborough Hustings organised by them...

Mr. Haq was laughed at for his party's stance on Trident when he declaimed: "We don't need it because we've never been attacked"?

The whole room, including 5 other candidates, laughed and clapped with BNP candidate, Mr. Dickens, when he came out with one of his trademark jokes-with-a-point. The 6th one fixed on a smile when he saw even the Labour candidate joining in the joke!

Labour's Kevin McKeever had the worst reception of the night as he tried to defend his party's abysmal record.

The independant candidate, Jeff Stevenson, drew gasps of shock and cries of "Shame!", in his closing address, when he told the assebly that he was only standing to put his points across, that he didn't know whether to vote Tory or Labour...then urged us all to vote Conservative!

(This event was being filmed for a 6-part series on the village of Kibworth, and a small part of it will be included in the programme. Michael Wood, the esteemed historian was present and I was lucky enough to be able to talk to him briefly afterwards. Something to look forward to at last on TV!)

VOTE BNP ON THURSDAY 6 MAY

The candidate for Bosworth is Cllr. JOHN RYDE.

John has lived in Newbold Verdon for nearly fifty years and has served as a parish councillor on two separate occasions, the most recent being for the past three years. In 2003, he was presented with the Mayor's Award for Outstanding Services in the Borough of Hinckley & Bosworth.

He has been a member of the BNP for ten years and has stood as a candidate four times, the most recent time being at the 2009 county council elections when he stood for the Mallory division.
John was presented with the British National Party, East Midlands Activist of the Year Award in 2008.

John is a father of two and a grandfather of five. He is retired, and previously worked in sales and management. His interests include gardening, motoring, real ale, traditional Jazz and the countryside.

John has sent us this personal message:

"By standing as a candidate in this election, I and the other candidates standing across the country will establish the British National Party as a credible, grass roots, mainstream, political party capable of bringing about change for the benefit of Great Britain.

I joined the British National Party because I believed it to be the only party with credible and relevant policies to restore this country to her rightful status as a world leader, and with the leadership and will to achieve this.

As a candidate for the Bosworth constituency I can provide a rallying point for voters across the constituency who seek trust and honesty in those who represent them, and to replace those in Westminster who by their greed and uselessness have destroyed our country and disillusioned so many.

If elected I shall spend my time working with all the grass roots agencies to deal with local issues and local problems for the residents of the Bosworth constituency of all political affiliation, colour and creed."

The candidate for South Leicestershire, formerly Blaby, is Cllr PAUL PRESTON.

Paul has lived in Leicester Forest East for twenty years and has served as a parish councillor for the past two years. He also serves on Braunstone West council for social services, a charity based organisation, and is a trustee of the university hospitals of Leicester.

Paul has been married for twenty years and is a father of two, a grandfather of four and a great-grand father of two. He has been a member of the BNP for five years. Paul joined the BNP because he was discontented with politics and politicians in this country.

He has stood as a candidate twice before, the most recent time being in the 2009 County Council elections when he stood for the Leicester Forest East and Kirby Muxloe division. He made the decision to stand as a candidate because he wants to make a positive difference to peoples lives and believes he can do a better, more honest job than our current MP's.

Paul is a retired mechanical engineer whose interests include science and physics (astro and quantum) and he is a musician with a love for playing the blues.

If elected he hopes to try to put right some of the many wrongs that our current crop of politicians have committed against the British people. He's strongly committed to 'British jobs for British workers' and believes that local people should always be put first by employers. He would like to scrap the human rights act and replace it with a British constitution and wants to see a vastly improved education system based around the three R's.

The candidate for Leicester West is GARY REYNOLDS.

Gary was born and grew up in Braunstone and attended the King Richard III school. For the past five years he has lived in Braunstone Town.

Gary is a father of two and has been a member of the BNP for six years. Gary was previously a lifelong Labour voter but ten years ago started questioning whether they really represented the true interests of working people and started to look for a more patriotic alternative. He now believes that the BNP is the only party that can provide a better future for all our children and protect the environment.

He has stood as a candidate once before in the 2009 county council elections when he stood for the Braunstone Town division. He made the decision to stand as a candidate because he believes that the policies of the BNP are in the best interests of all local people and decided it was time to stand up and be counted. He has recently become a parish councillor for Leicester Forest East.

Gary is an electrician whose interests include motorcycling, playing the guitar, science and technology and reading history and politics.

If elected he hopes to properly serve the views of the people of Leicester West, unlike our current MP's who only serve themselves, find out the needs of local people and promote them for the betterment of them all.

The candidate for Harborough, Oadby & Wigston is GEOFF DICKENS.

Geoff has lived in the Harborough District Council area for 33 years. He was Chairman of Shawell parish council from 1979 until 1986. He is married with 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

Geoff joined the BNP in 1983 and is both the Leicestershire organiser and the East Midlands regional organiser. He joined the party because he was totally disillusioned with the old parties and wanted to help provide an alternative choice for the British people.

He last stood as a candidate in September 2009 at a district council by-election in Market Harborough Welland Ward.

Geoff is a sheet metal worker by trade; he ran his own business employing over 40 people for 20 years, retiring in the year 2000. He started working again on a part time basis in 2005. His interests, aside from politics, include gardening and enjoying the countryside.

If elected he would work hard to put in place a sound financial system for the benefit of the nation and endeavour to provide full gainful employment for all.

The candidate for Leicester East is COLIN GILMORE.

Colin is married, with 2 children and was born and bred in Leicester. He now lives locally, in Ratby. His interests are conservation and supporting and sponsoring local sport. He is a Financial Consultant, so is well placed to keep spending under scrutiny, thus ensuring that constituents' hard-earned taxes are not wasted, and local issues are vigorously pursued.

In 2008, Colin stood for the BNP in the Stanton Field Head & Markfield by-election, where he polled nearly 15% of the vote. One of his main concerns was the toxic incinerator proposed in NW Leicestershire, which would have threatened local residents' health.

An ex-Conservative, Colin joined the BNP when he found that neither the Tories, nor the other 2 main parties represented the man and woman in the street.
He believes that it is the British National Party, and only the British National Party, who have the policies and the will to regenerate Britain for further generations.

The candidate for Leicester South is ADRIAN WAUDBY.

Adrian is 46 years old and a driving instructor. He has lived all his life in Leicester and holds a B.Sc. in computing.

He enjoy politics and has the enthusiasm and drive to voice your opinions, making sure that your voice is heard in parliament. Unlike the other parties he will put your interests first.

He joined the British National Party because he believes it is the only political party that can make a difference.

He has stood as a candidate twice before and is currently standing as the candidate in the forthcoming by-election for Leicester City Council in Eyres Monsell ward.

He would like to see more cash and resources put into Leicester South to fund projects for young people in the area and more schemes to reduce anti-social behaviour

Like all of you, he is appalled at the numbers of migrant workers coming to the UK, pushing local people to the back of the queue in housing and jobs.

Election Debates

On Wednesday 14 April the South Leicestershire Conservative association arranged a public meeting where constituents could 'question your local candidates'.

As you can see from the advert above only three of the candidates were due to attend. I contacted the BNP candidate for South Leicestershire constituency, Paul Preston, to ask why he wasn't attending. He replied that he had no idea the meeting was taking place and had not been invited but would have been happy to have been on the panel and answer questions from local people.

On Tuesday 4 May at Lutterworth Town Hall there will be another 'question your local candidates' public meeting also arranged by the Conservatives.

This time you are invited to meet 'your main local candidates', which sounds like a way to exclude any candidate with an alternative point of view to that of the LibLabCon, and only the same three candidates are advertised as attending. Sure enough when I once again contacted Paul Preston he told me he has not received any invitation to this meeting either.

I have to ask myself if the Conservatives are frightened to debate with the BNP?

Yesterday saw the Truth Truck in Lutterworth, with the BBC filming and interviewing Harborough candidate, Geoff Dickens, as he chatted to local folk and gave out leaflets, most of which were received with pleasure. Look out for this on East Midlands news!

Afterwards, Geoff went to join other activists leafletting. Meanwhile, 2 Leicester members took the Truth truck to Corby; they were received warmly, both on the way there and around the town itself. Drivers tooting, thumbs-ups, and smiles were there in plenty.

Leafletting is of course progressing well around the County, NWL and Eyres Monsell in particular. Activists report a great reception wherever they go.

Cllr. Paul Preston, candidate for South Leicestershire, was interviewed on Radio Leicester's Dawne B show. Paul tells us: "They asked why black people should vote for the BNP. I said that the other parties are not fit for purpose - that was not broadcast; I told them I am mixed race, have been in the Party for 6 years and agree with all our party policies. They asked about the natfront, I said we had broken away from them in the 80s and never looked back and that Nick Griffin has moved the Party forward in a positive way."

BNP members staged a protest outside the Leicester South Hustings in protest at being excluded from the event.

The NWL Hustings went ahead as planned, much to the credit of the organisers and participants. Ian Meller, the BNP candidate, impressed the audience and did very well indeed.

No sign of a 'bigotsgate' -we leave that kind of thing to Labour hypocrites...

BNP at Leicester South Hustings

Yet another Hustings where Leicester voters were denied their democratic right to question their candidate, this time in Leicester South, but Leicester BNP decided to turn up outside and inform the people attending that Labour were preventing 'Free Speech'. The activists first finished some vital election work in Eyres Monsell Ward - part of Leicester South - before attending the Hustings.

The look on the Labour candidates face was a picture, and the Tory candidate spoke to BNP candidate Adi Waudby informing Adi he was happy to share a platform with us. After looking a bit deeper we have discovered the person sending the invite is indeed pictured with the Labour MP on many occasions and they seem to know each other well.

Hopefully, voters will see through the 'Reality Show' hype of the TV debates, where audiences are encouraged to pick the next Prime Minister on style and presentation. We vote for the Party, and policies, not the nicest, or coolest looking chap on the podium!

However, Keith Vaz, the Labour candidate for Leicester East, has obviously decided that the glitz and glamour path is the way to go, and to that end is delighted that Shilpa Shetty is coming over from Mumbai to dazzle his constituents into voting him back as MP.

Miss Shetty found fame when she was a contestant on tacky Celebrity Big Brother. No stranger to scandalous rumours back home, Shilpa married long-standing boyfriend, divorce Raj Kundra, an Indian business tycoon.
Their wedding reception was held at the House of Commons, hosted by Mr. Vaz, though I can't find the occasion mentioned in the British papers, only Asian sites. Keith himself describes the occasion as a dinner; I rather think Indian wedding receptions consist of a bit more than something like prawn cocktail and steak and chips but maybe Keith skimped on the catering. I wonder how many guests were invited? But, more to the point, who paid for the bash? As we know, Keith is not above flipping homes on his expenses, nor wallowing in silk cushions, also paid for courtesy of the taxpayer.
But maybe this was his wedding present to the happy couple, so he wouldn't have expected said taxpayers to stump up. Whatever, what a terrific inducement for Shilpa to return the favour, on a 'I've scratched your back, now you scratch mine' basis. Let's hope she doesn't return to Mumbai this time with scandal attached...

It seems that every decent person we speak to these days, whether friends, neighbours or people we chat with while out leafletting and canvassing, all are bewildered by the rapid changes in our society and they don't understand how it happened, or why. A common remark is "they must hate us, but why?"

The Frankfurt School

"Western civilization at the present day is passing through a crisis which is essentially different from anything that has been previously experienced. Other societies in the past have changed their social institutions or their religious beliefs under the influence of external forces or the slow development of internal growth. But none, like our own, has ever consciously faced the prospect of a fundamental alteration of the beliefs and institutions on which the whole fabric of social life rests … Civilization is being uprooted from its foundations in nature and tradition and is being reconstituted in a new organisation which is as artificial and mechanical as a modern factory.

What is the Frankfurt School?
Well, in the days following the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, it was believed that workers’ revolution would sweep into Europe and, eventually, into the United States. But it did not happen. Towards the end of 1922 the Communist International (Comintern) began to consider what the reasons were. On Lenin’s initiative a meeting was organised at the Marx-Engels Institute in Moscow.
The aim of the meeting was to clarify the concept of, and give concrete effect to, a Marxist cultural revolution. Amongst those present were Georg Lukacs (a Hungarian aristocrat, son of a banker, who had become a Communist during World War I, a good Marxist theoretician he developed the idea of ‘Revolution and Eros’ – sexual instinct used as an instrument of destruction) and Willi Munzenberg (whose proposed solution was to ‘organise the intellectuals and use them to make Western civilisation stink. Only then, after they have corrupted all its values and made life impossible, can we impose the dictatorship of the proletariat’) ‘It was’, said Ralph de Toledano (1916-2007) the conservative author and co-founder of the ‘National Review’, a meeting ‘perhaps more harmful to Western civilization than the Bolshevik Revolution itself.’
This ‘School’ (designed to put flesh on their revolutionary programme) was started at the University of Frankfurt in the Institut für Sozialforschung. To begin with, school and institute were indistinguishable. In 1923 the Institute was officially established, and funded by Felix Weil (1898-1975). Weil was born in Argentina and at the age of nine was sent to school in Germany. He attended universities in Tübingen and Frankfurt, where he graduated with a doctoral degree in political science. While at these universities he became increasingly interested in socialism and Marxism. According to the intellectual historian Martin Jay, the topic of his dissertation was ‘the practical problems of implementing socialism.’
Carl Grünberg, the Institute’s director from 1923-1929, was an avowed Marxist, although the Institute did not have any official party affiliations. But in 1930 Max Horkheimer assumed control and he believed that Marx’s theory should be the basis of the Institute’s research. When Hitler came to power, the Institute was closed and its members, by various routes, fled to the United States and migrated to major US universities—Columbia, Princeton, Brandeis, and California at Berkeley.
The School included among its members the 1960s guru of the New Left Herbert Marcuse (denounced by Pope Paul VI for his theory of liberation which ‘opens the way for licence cloaked as liberty’), Max Horkheimer, Theodor Adorno, the popular writer Erich Fromm, Leo Lowenthal, and Jurgen Habermas – possibly the School’s most influential representative.
Basically, the Frankfurt School believed that as long as an individual had the belief – or even the hope of belief – that his divine gift of reason could solve the problems facing society, then that society would never reach the state of hopelessness and alienation that they considered necessary to provoke socialist revolution. Their task, therefore, was as swiftly as possible to undermine the Judaeo-Christian legacy. To do this they called for the most negative destructive criticism possible of every sphere of life which would be designed to de-stabilize society and bring down what they saw as the ‘oppressive’ order. Their policies, they hoped, would spread like a virus—‘continuing the work of the Western Marxists by other means’ as one of their members noted.
To further the advance of their ‘quiet’ cultural revolution – but giving us no ideas about their plans for the future – the School recommended (among other things):

1. The creation of racism offences.
2. Continual change to create confusion
3. The teaching of sex and homosexuality to children
4. The undermining of schools’ and teachers’ authority
5. Huge immigration to destroy identity.
6. The promotion of excessive drinking
7. Emptying of churches
8. An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime
9. Dependency on the state or state benefits
10. Control and dumbing down of media
11. Encouraging the breakdown of the family"

Do you recognise the results today from the above list? Do you get scoffed at when you express your concern about them? Well, now you know who the scoffers are: Communists, and those who have been gulled by them. Let's be honest, most of us fell for it in the 60s and 70s; when you're young you go along with the fashion to keep up with your friends. "It's progress, don't be so old-fashioned", I was told, if I didn't quite agree.
When you get canvassers calling at your door,show them this article and ask them if they have concerns about the items on that list, and what are they going to do about it?. Don't expect a straight answer from LibLabCon though, they're all in the mire together, all cosying up to their establishment lackeys, the Marxist UAF and Searchlight, who just love to promote the things on the list.
Then try asking the BNP; there's no doubt you'll get a more satisfactory reply

UAF Closes Down Democracy Again

It was with considerable pleasure that the BNP candidate for Harborough, Geoffrey Dickens, accepted the kind invitation to join the other candidates at a local Hustings organised by the Rector of Oadby, Canon Michael Rusk, on Tuesday evening:
“The Rector of Oadby, Canon Michael Rusk, is organising a hustings on Tuesday 20th April at 7.30pm at Trinity Methodist Church, Harborough Road, Oadby and would like to invite Geoff Dickens, the BNP candidate for Harborough to attend.”

There was a hitch when the venue was changed from Trinity Methodist Church to Manor High School. It is to be hoped that this was because they needed a larger venue, and not down to being intimidated by UAF’s violent thugs. A person directly concerned with these Hustings opined that it was probably not a good move to re-direct the venue to a multi-racial area. We agree with that.

However, participants in the Hustings were contacted on Tuesday evening to inform them that the event had been cancelled:
“It is with considerable regret that the proposed Political Hustings Event planned for tonight at Manor High School has to be cancelled. Genuine concerns have emerged about holding such an event at Manor High School Oadby. It has been impossible at this stage to find a suitable alternative venue. The Hustings therefore are cancelled.
The reason for this was due to threats to the organisers by establishment lackeys, the odious UAF, who are well known for their violence against persons and property. They organised it via a Facebook campaign. I really wonder what their Tory backer and supporter, David Cameron, thinks of their disgusting anti-democratic behaviour? It is purported that the NUT were also involved; they have an ongoing hate campaign against the BNP in schools during the election campaign. They should be ashamed.
Locally, people have asked whether the Liberal, Tory and Labour candidates might have felt that they were going to have to answer some uncomfortable questions on MPs’ expenses, 3 threatened large supermarkets...and some rather odd business and Charity dealings for one of them – more will be revealed about the latter in due course.

It is shocking that after Canon Rusk and his team had gone to so much trouble to organise these Hustings, that a discredited group who include many arrested, some charged, with violence against persons, incitement to violence, acts of disorderly conduct and vandalism, can be allowed to disrupt democracy in this way. Do they not have the intelligence to realise that it wasn’t only the BNP candidate whom they inconvenienced? It impinged on all the candidates invited, who were looking forward to the debate; and also the audience, who were deprived of hearing what the candidates had to say, and putting questions to them. Not to mention those who didn’t know of the cancellation and turned up anyway.

I have had a delightful conversation this morning with people at the sharp end of this business (not the Parish Office whose phones were dead today, nor anyone connected with the BNP), as I was worried that they had been intimidated. They reassured me that everyone was fine, but that it had been very tense yesterday, disrupting their work. I was told that about 8 members of the Anti-Fascist League arrived at the venue, who expected about 30 of their cronies to come, no doubt to disrupt the debate.The other candidates, and people denied the chance to participate, have expressed their view that all are entitled to be heard, that any legitimate Party should be able to put forward their views.
This seems to be the concensus on all sides, even those who do not necessarily agree with the BNP. That is how democracy works.

I know that it would have been a good, lively debate; that everybody would have been polite and pleasant to each other, regardless of what Party they represented, if it hadn’t been for the seedy machinations of establishment lackeys interfering in the Parliamentary process, and closing down democratic debate. UAF might be crowing that they claimed a victory over the BNP last night, but given the other candidates’ view and the public’s reaction to their actions, it would seem that their fascist, anti-democratic action has backfired. That, at the very least, should be one point that all of us will rejoice at, no matter who our democratic choice of Party may be.

Update. Report in the Harborough Mail.

The Mail alleges that there was 'a swell of protest against Geoff Dickens appearing on the platform,; who exactly would this protest be coming from? UAF on Facebook. And '30 letters and phone calls' matches the 30 UAF protesters due to turn up. See the article above, where candidates and the public did not object to the BNP appearing. On the contrary, they were looking forward to hearing and debating his views.
I will reiterate that the persons I spoke to were at the heart of this furore.

Edward Garnier, the Conservative candidate fairly states that the BNP is a registered Party and that this was a denial of democracy; and indeed, he was very friendly towards Geoff Dickens and his agent when they met at Oadby Council Offices. Which makes it odd that he agrees with the Marxist, anti-democratic UAF's views. In fact, he agrees with these extreme leftists so much that he is a signatory on their list of backers/supporters, along with his boss, David Cameron.

Vehicle Crime Avoidance Advice

As the weather improves, more people are out and about, enjoying days out away from home. Many others will be travelling more due to the run-up and impending elections; they'll be parking their cars (motor bikes too) in unfamiliar locations while they leaflet or canvass the area, and will also be leaving their vehicles parked while at Polling stations. and during the long night hours at the counts. It pays to spare some time to ensure your vehicle is safe, and Neighbourhood Watch has published advice from the police on what to do to avoid vehicle/contents theft and vandalism.

Cars
Car crime accounts for nearly 20 per cent of all recorded crimes in England and Wales. It can be distressing, annoying and can cause a lot of inconvenience for the owner.
· Make sure that doors are locked and windows are closed when you leave the car even if it’s only for a moment.
· Leaving items on display in the car, for example handbags, jackets and mobile phones, are an appealing target for thieves. Take them with you, or put them out of view whenever possible.
· Consider having the windows etched with the car’s vehicle registration number and keep a note of the chassis number somewhere safe.
· Installing a 'Thatcham' approved immobiliser or investing in a steering lock can deter thieves.
· Car stereos are attractive to thieves, if possible remove them whenever you leave your car. Retract car aerials and tuck in wing mirrors to discourage vandals.
· If you have a garage at home, make sure you can lock it and use it. When using public car parks, try to park in an attended car park and look for signs that say ‘Secured Car Parks’. If you can’t find a car park, try to avoid parking in places that are unlit, have easy access and are hidden from public view.
Motorbikes
Motorbikes and scooters are also targets for thieves and more motorbikes and scooters are stolen than cars. Make it difficult for them by applying some basic security techniques.
· A lock for your motorbike is a must - a good disc lock or a U-lock applied correctly should always be used when you leave your motorbike unattended.
· Get a combined alarm and electronic immobiliser fitted professionally and make sure you set the alarm everytime you leave your motorbike.

Easter egg-on-face

The Sun comic had egg on it's face - alas, not the chocolate variety - on Friday when it published the "sensational news" that Nick Griffin had been stripped of his law degree by Cambridge University.

Unfortunately, the rather less than intelligent journalists employed by this rag neglected to notice the date on which this story was originally published - April 1st.
Overcome with their holy zeal of decrying Mr. Griffin and the BNP at any cost, these gutter scribblers launched the story into print and on the internet...on April 2nd., so they couldn't even claim it as their joke. The item was hurriedly taken down later when the gaffe was pointed out to them, but it was too late. The Guardian took up the story with great delight, sniggering at the red faces of their rivals, and revealing where the Sun had pinched their "exclusive" from.

It appears that this was an April Fool's joke, albeit one in bad taste, thought up by students at Cambridge and published in theirTab magazine. (A little problem for them, by the way, is that April Fool jokes end at mid-day on the 1st, and if carried on, the joke rebounds on the joker; the article is still up online!)

Because it was published on a normal day, a lot of people were taken in by the Sun's story. But when their puerile reporting was uncovered, many more were disgusted, not least by the fact that one of our most read papers cribs it's news from daffy student online mags.

The Sun isn't alone in printing lies to suit their agenda of course. This is just one of the more ludicrous examples. But it should hopefully make people stop and think about our national Press, and whether their reporting should be taken with a large pinch of salt.
Anyway, make my egg a chocolate one: eggs laid by rags like the Sun are just plain rotten.

A Special Easter Message from Nick Griffin

"Dear Fellow Patriot,
A special event that happened recently has changed my outlook on our struggle and the situation facing our sacred country. That event was the peaceful, sensible, mature debate with the Christian Party leader George Hargreaves and a large number of Christian Party members. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire debate which was noticeably absent of the usual hysterical fanaticism of the liberal-left.

It made me think long and hard about a new dimension of our struggle: our Christian religion, culture and traditions. In the past too much emphasis has been placed on the ethnic aspect of our present national dilemma, whilst the longest running feature of our identity has been overlooked: the fact that our country has been held together and guided for millennia by our common, ancient religion: Christianity.

And before you misunderstand me, I do not mean the gut-wrenching politically correct quasi-Marxist nonsense spewing forth from the treacherous leaders of the modern Anglican Church. I mean the traditional, upright, decent and honest Christianity that defended Europe from Islamic conquest, the Christianity of the Crusades and the Christianity of our forefathers.

There is nothing in traditional Christianity about world government, abolishing the nations, enslaving the world to finance capitalism and big business, eradicating traditional unique cultures and national identities, the promotion of sexual perversion, the glorification of treason, letting criminals run rampant and political correctness.

No, the Christianity of our forefathers was about honesty, family, patriotism, sacrifice, loyalty, king and country. For over 1,000 years Christianity held our people together and guided us through the centuries. If Christianity had not existed Europe would have been conquered by Islam centuries ago.

I made the irrefutable point during the debate with the Christian Party that the British National Party is the only political organisation in Britain that wants to keep this country fundamentally Christian, with Christian values, traditions and culture. Every other political party would happily allow Islam to engulf our Christian homeland.

After the General Election, all BNP leaflets will carry a Christian Cross to demonstrate our commitment to maintaining and preserving our Christian heritage as a nation. Politically correct scoundrels like Rowan Williams will cry foul but we have nothing to be ashamed of as we are the defenders of Britain's Christian heritage, just like our Crusader ancestors in the Middle Ages.

So this weekend enjoy the Christian festival of Easter with pride and remember the War Heroes that fell in the many wars to defend our homeland. Be proud of your British, Christian identity and reject the false guilt and self-loathing of the liberal-left political class.

The darkest hour is just before the dawn, but be of good cheer for Christ Our Lord is risen!

CPS side with dangerous thugs?

`I feel sure many of you reading this will recall that, in June 2009, 2 BNP M.E.P.s were elected to the European Parliament. Both were elected to represent constituencies in the North of England. A week or so later both were attacked by thugs,louts, call-`em-what-you-will, outside the House of Commons. During this attack, which the local London police did nothing to prevent, someone (one of the louts) threw a DART at the M.E.P.s. The dart struck a security man on the chest. 9 months on, the CPS has decided there`s no case to answer and `will not prosecute`. So it appears it`s now acceptable - for some anyway - to throw darts at people whose views you disagree with. One might ask if these obviously highly dangerous missiles `count` as `offensive weapons`, along with guns, knives and razors, etc. Perhaps not, but the public need to know and to be reassured, I feel. Or is it just another case of the louts of the `Loony Left` once more getting away with it?

Results From Bolton: UAF Thugs 55 EDL 9

At an anti-muslim extremist demonstration in Bolton yesterday, 55 violent, Marxist UAF thugs were arrested, with 9 from the EDL.

Riot police moved in swiftly as the violence from UAF protesters escalated out of control. An extract from the statement by GMP Assistant Chief Constable Garry Shewan reads:
"We, the council and the communities of Bolton have worked hard over recent weeks in order to facilitate these protests in a safe and responsible manner.

"Today in Bolton we have seen some small evidence of this protest in the form of flag waving and vitriolic name calling - but we have also seen groups of people, predominantly associated with the UAF, engaging in violent confrontation.

"It is clear to me that a large number have attended today with the sole intention of committing disorder and their actions have been wholly unacceptable. Turning their anger onto police officers they acted with, at times, extreme violence and their actions led to injuries to police officers, protestors and members of the public.

"The police are not and should not be the target of such violence and anger and this protest and the actions of some of the protestors is roundly condemned by GMP and by Bolton Council. Were it not for the professionalism and bravery of police officers many others would have been seriously injured. I would also like to praise the efforts of the EDL stewards who worked with us in the face of some very ugly confrontations."

Among those arrested were WEYMAN BENNETT, UAF joint secretary, who was later charged with conspiracy to organise violent disorder, and UAF's MARTIN SMITH, who runs the 'Love Music Hate Racism' campaign, who been arrested for conspiracy to commit violence.

We have warned before about the odious UAF mob, who not only appear to support the terrorists in our midst and are incredibly quiet when atrocities are committed on our people, but also are blatant in their violent leanings. Their backers though seem still to be blissfully unaware of the scum that they support. Or are they? Their names include Keith Vaz MP, Peter Hain MP, Ken Livingstone, Union and NUJ secretaries among the list, which is no surprise, but you would think that, by now, Conservative Leader David Cameron would be appalled to find himself supporting the odious UAF crew if he wanted to be considered as Britain's next Prime Minister. But of course, UAF backing comes from all colours of the LibLabCon party, none of them hold the moral high ground.

Oh no, it's Keith Vaz again!

Leicester East MP Keith Vaz, he of the silk-cushions-on-expenses and tarnished reputation, is never one to shirk a media opportunity. So, when the Leicester Mercury reported on the plight of 2 illegal immigrants residing on the pavements of Green Lane Road our Keith was there like a ferret down a rabbit-hole, to put everything right.

Apparently, these 2 illegal vagrants didn't think things through; they 'lost' their passports and documents, and as they are here illegally they cannot work nor return home. They have been here for 4 months, in full view of nearby residents and businesses, so it is a puzzle as to why nothing has been done up to now to get them deported back to India (one has expressed his wish for that to happen, but neither are accepting help).

So Mr. Vaz, scenting a spot of pre-election publicity, rides to the rescue on the coat-tails of this story.
A problem is though, that it is not happening in his constituency, but in Peter Soulsby's. And, from the comments, one gathers that the people of Leicester are not impressed by his actions. His nickname in Leicester is 'Bandwagon' Vaz.

But if Mr. Vaz is truly concerned for homeless people, there is a solution until the situation is resolved: he has the room to put them up himself, having 2 homes and an office in Leicester. And what a pity he didn't think of this during the recent bitter winter.
Still, after he has acquired documents for them (we've heard he's pretty good at that) to go back to India, perhaps he will apply himself to addressing the plight of genuine homeless people on our streets. Quietly, and without climbing on the electioneering bandwagon.
