Minutes of the Leicestershire BNP meeting in Charnwood on Saturday 20 September 2014.

The Meeting was opened by Regional Organiser Geoff Dickens.

The minutes of the last meeting were read by the Secretary, Mike Robinson, and agreed.

First to speak was Geoff Dickens and Geoff started by giving a run-down of recent events, including the results of a local by-election in Charnwood. Here we received 3.2% of the vote. Costs were £400-500 and this was not a good result. It is important now, he told us, that Cathy holds her seat (Charnwood BC) come the next election.

He also gave us details of progress in the party since the departure of the former party Chairman, Nick Griffin. A great deal of acquired debts have been sorted, and paid off, most of which were as a result of court cases in which the Party was involved.

After a tea break, our Speaker, Dr Phil Edwards, took to the floor telling us that we are a democratic group and that we normally select election candidates from amongst our own ranks. We don`t usually bring in total strangers at election times, as do the so-called ` 3 major parties`. `Doc` was having trouble making himself understood due to a serious `knock` he`d received earlier this year, which had damaged both his teeth and general palate area. He`d been a Tory years ago, he said, but they were now `politically correct` as well as being pro-multiculturalism.

He went on to state an obvious fact, in that people who'd lived and developed as national groups 1000`s of miles apart, were different; a fact no one but an idiot would deny. His eloquent talk was received, as always, with enthusiasm by the audience.
