Crimestoppers - Most Wanted

This is a message from Blaby Police

Leicestershire supports Crimestoppers distraction burglary campaign
The crime-fighting charity, Crimestoppers, is today launching a list of 10 'Most Wanted' people sought in connection with distraction burglaries.

The campaign, which is supported by Leicestershire Constabulary, also warns people to be careful about who they let into their homes, as the traditional peak time for this crime approaches (February/March). Distraction burglary is a crime which particularly effects elderly people, the average age of a victim is 81-years-old.

Crimestoppers has been working with Operation Liberal, the unit which provides a national intelligence overview of distraction burglary crime, which has produced the list of 10 'Most Wanted' individuals.

Distraction burglary is any crime where a falsehood, trick or distraction is used on a house to gain, or try to gain, access to the premises to commit burglary. Violence is increasingly being used by offenders against the elderly in order to gain entry to their homes and steal their property.

Weather related distraction burglary methods have been reported from various parts of the country with the criminals using tactics such as: clearing snow off drives for a small amount, then stealing from the house when the victim goes to pay and telling victims they need to check boilers, frozen pipes and radiators because of the bad weather.
Prevention advice on this crime type is available at: THIS LINK

Lord Ashcroft, KCMG, Founder and Chair of Crimestoppers said: "Distraction burglars are clearly hideous individuals as they tend to prey on elderly, vulnerable people to rob them of life-long treasured possessions and money, by using devious tactics and in many cases, violence. Some victims suffer a decline in health and even die as a result of the trauma caused by these criminals. If you have any information on these wanted individuals, please contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously, we guarantee that no one will know your identity."

Dame Vera Lynn, Co-Patron of Sussex Crimestoppers branch, said: "As someone who has been a victim of burglary several times, I can't reinforce enough how frightening it is. Worse than having your possessions taken, is having your confidence stolen as well. A home is where everyone should feel safe and relaxed, not anxious and worried at what might happen. We must not let these despicable criminals get away with traumatising people and stealing treasured possessions. I fully support the charity's campaign and urge the public help bring justice to victims by passing on information they may have about distraction burglars to Crimestoppers anonymously."

"Operation Liberal works together with all UK police forces to target and bring to justice those individuals who prey on the vulnerable in society. Our message is - if you're not sure who is calling, then don't open the door, check their identity first.

"There have been many recent examples of vigilant members of the public reporting suspicious behaviour to the police which has led to a number of distraction burglars being arrested. We want this to continue.

"Should anyone have information about someone they believe is carrying out these terrible crimes please call police or if you prefer, phone Crimestoppers, who will treat your call anonymously."

David Tredinnick MP - You've been Cromwelled!

Once again the “Honourable Gentleman” David Tredd in it, MP for Bosworth is in the headlines.

Once again “Cash for Questions” David makes the news for his relationship with the public purse.
As reported in the Leicester Mercury (Friday 15th Jan) the hapless MP has had to repay £775 pounds that he had claimed on his expenses.

This is the latest claim of many that he has had to repay and was for astrology software which allows the users to assess their health according to the stars and part of a history of financial irregularities including claims for “intimate relations” courses.

Recently he was found to have used his Westminster Newsletter as a party political newsletter and repay nearly £2,000

Previously he was suspended from Parliament for 20 days and had to resign as a parliamentary private secretary after it was found that he had taken a £1,000 bribe to ask questions in Parliament.

However, the outstanding part of the article is the credit given to the British National Party by the Leicester Mercury, surely a memorable first !
“Mr John Lyon, Parliamentary Standards Commissioner, received a complaint about the claim.
After investigating, he wrote to the complainant, former police officer and BNP parliamentary candidate Michael Barnbrook, saying that Mr Tredinnick had agreed to repay the money”

British National Party Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Bosworth, John Ryde, said:
“It is not generally known, but the exposures and investigations surrounding the expense claim scandals were originated by Michael Barnbrook, a former Metropolitan Police Inspector and BNP member. There is still research being carried out and many more MP’s will be reported”

“It will give me great pleasure to stand against this person who has brought disrepute to his position and to the electorate of Hinckley and Bosworth. If there were an annual award for the “Worst Backbencher of the Year” then I believe that he would certainly be a favorite. I call upon all Conservative voters in Bosworth to vote BNP and oust this tawdry failure

"I consider it most opportune to remind ourselves of the words of Oliver Cromwell, on the occasion of him dismissing the corrupt Rump Parliament with the assistance of the Army. In my opinion the words of the Lord Protector are just as valid today as they were back in 1653. History records that Cromwell said:
“It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defile by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and like Esau sell your country for a mess of potage, and like Judas betray your god for a few pieces of money; is there any single virtue now remaining amongst you? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter’d your conscious for bribes?
Is there a man amongst you that care for the good of the commonwealth? Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defil’d this sacred place, and turned the lord’s temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices?
You are grown intolerably odious to the nation, you were put here by the people to get grievance redressed, are you yourself become the greatest grievance. I command ye therefore, upon the peril for your lives, to depart immediately out of this place; go, get you out!
Make haste! Ye venal slaves be gone! Go! Take away that shining bauble there (mace), and lock up the doors.

In the name of God, go!"

Leafleting in Birstall

On a snowy Saturday morning members from the BNP Leicestershire branch travelled the short distance to Birstall to assist our friends from the Charnwood branch in some pre leafleting in anticipation of a forthcoming by-election.

Around 2500 leaflets were delivered and we received a very positive response from all of the people we met.

To help us raise the BNP's profile in the area we were very pleased to have the truth truck touring around.

The truck turned heads wherever it went and certainly got the message out that the BNP were in the area.

2010, a year for change

Leicestershire Community Voice wishes all our readers a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

As every new year begins we look forward with hope, and look back with mixed feelings at the old. Some have lost loved ones, and we send our sympathies to those who have faced that empty chair for the first time this Christmas. For others there has been great joy with a new addition to the family, and we send our congratulations to them.
Countrywide, there has been despair. Businesses, jobs and houses were lost, tumbling down like dominoes due to greedy bankers and the incompetence of government. As usual, Labour has brought us to the brink of bankruptcy. It's going to get worse, and though many disillusioned folk are pinning their hopes on the Tories, there's no way that they can pull us out of the mire without us all suffering deeply. Will they also be able, or willing, to reverse the Marxist indoctrination, the swamping of our nation by immigrants or the decay of our national culture and ethics? It's unlikely given that they have grown so close and chummy with the discredited European superstate.

There was joy for the members and supporters of the BNP though in 2009, despite our shared woes with our fellow Britons.
The Euro Elections saw two BNP candidates elected as MEPs -Nick Griffin and Andrew Brons. In our own county of Leicestershire we saw our first BNP County Councillor, Graham Partner, one of three to be elected. What a weekend that was!
The eagerly awaited appearance on Question Time was another first, and though everything was done to persecute Nick, it became a triumph for him and the BNP, opening many more eyes to the rottenness and bias of the corrupt establishment.

Ring out the old, ring in the new!
Have you made your New Year Resolutions? Have you resolved to do all you can this year to take our country back? Put it first on the list, and stick to this one! it's not going to be easy, there's a lot of work to be done. You'll need to support the BNP and hopefully, join us very soon. Come to meetings, bring your family and friends along - having a moan in private makes you feel better but doesn't achieve anything!

And please, please resolve to get active; delivering leaflets might sound boring, but you'll meet like-minded people and be astonished by the great reception you'll get. It's fun too, and will help that other resolution of getting fitter (er...sometimes offset by going for a drink afterwards, but that's helping our struggling pubs survive).

Canvassing sounds daunting, but be assured you won't be alone and once you've broken your duck, you'll enjoy the look on peoples' faces when they realise that they can tell the BNP their worries without fear.

Lastly, be sure you vote. People have become so apathetic about this, and who can blame them when faced with a choice of expenses-troughing, lying LibLabCon? But you owe it to your antecedents who fought hard to get you this right, and to your children and grandchildren who are depending on your decision. Will you let them down?

Or will you resolve to do the decent thing this year, go out proudly on Election Day and put your cross against the only Party that will make Britain safe for you and your family -The British National Party?
