Report by Leicester Boy

It has been reported that Leicester East Labour MP, Keith Vaz, changed his vote in Parliament after being offered a deal by the Government.

According to The Sun newspaper (July 3rd), Chief Whip Geoff Hoon wrote to Mr. Vaz claiming he would be 'appropriately rewarded' for supporting the 42 day terror suspect vote.

Mr. Vaz had originally opposed the measure but suddenly backed the motion. None of this should come as a surprise to anyone. Only a few years ago, Mr. Vaz was the subject of an investigation by the Parliamentary Standards watchdog and it was concluded that Mr. Vaz had: "committed serious breaches of the Code of Conduct, and a contempt of the House" and it was recommended that he be suspended from the House of Commons for a month.

How much longer will the people of Leicester East put up with this man?

This man only represents certain elements of East Leicester.
Believe me, I'm doing my best to get the rest of East Leicester to wake up.
